I agree with this actually. But black & white hair colors fit the void theme as easily as the High Elf theme. Adding a single shade of brown and blonde to that, and then going full ham on the void options thereafter, is perfectly fine in my book.
So to be clear you do feel VEs are entitled to the full visual fantasy of Blood Elves? Allowing Void Elves to completely fulfill the BE visual fantasy at the expense of VE fans and BE fans, cool.
is perfectly fine in my book
And that’s your view, that’s evidently not ours and that’s fine.
This is all theoretical, Blizzard has said they’re not adding new options.
Except I’m asking for human hair colors, or dwarf hair colors, which isnt blood elf hair colors
high elf fans have a choice, original flavor or void flavor. blizzard will only seek to diversify the blood/void elves as much possible through character customizations from here on out and everyone knows it. thats why you guys are so desperate and spam this topic everyday in the hopes that blizzard will change their mind
multiple races share multiple hair colors without it impacting them being diverse from each other. that cannot be said for blood/void elves. if you want the blood elf aesthetic, ITS ALREADY THERE FOR YOU
for 3 years you guys spammed ‘jUsT GiVe VoId ElVeS NoRmAl sKiN tOnE lOl’ and that that would be an actual compromise. you got your wish, you never once said anything about normal hair before the skin tones. and now its too late, white and black would have been fine before the normal skin tones because a void elf with white/black hair and the original skin tones cant be mistaken for a blood elf. simple as that
the only thing we will likely share from here on is ear size
The void elf has blonde hair
a super special npc does
And the blood elf has blonde hair
so play a blood elf
so play a blood elf
?
No thanks? I’ll continue playing night elf, I just have nothing against people wanting to choose their hair color.
This is just…weird.
Yeah like I said, I have to give it to them that these threads basically stay alive solely due to them.
They easily account for more than 60% of the posts.I just find the dogpiling behavior a little sad.
This isn’t a one sided thing, this happens from people on both sides and calling out Midare and Lann just because of that isn’t cool.
So to be clear you do feel VEs are entitled to the full visual fantasy of Blood Elves
I feel that Void Elves are entitled to a variety of hair color choices regardless of what colors Blood Elves have.
Allowing Void Elves to completely fulfill the BE visual fantasy at the expense of VE fans and BE fans, cool.
Void Elf fans would have new options. Black and white as hair color options fit the void theme. Also, some Void Elf fans might actually like mixing blonde or brown with the void aesthetic options, and adding a single shade of blonde and brown to Void Elves does not mean more void themed options can’t be added as well.
As for Blood Elf fans… well since I’m one of those too… I don’t personally feel I’d be losing anything if Alliance Elves can look similar to Horde Elves. If I can play my Horde Pandaren and see an Alliance Pandaren that looks exactly the same as me, and not have a conniption fit, I’m pretty sure I’ll be just fine when I play my Blood Elf Mage/Priest/Hunter/Death Knight/Rogue and see a Void Elf with blonde hair.
I continue to understand where others come from, I just vehemently disagree regardless and that’s okay, I’m not going to call them a troll off a difference of opinion alone because when I’m on the forums I expect debate?
If I can play my Horde Pandaren and see an Alliance Pandaren that looks exactly the same
Add in the context of that being a neutral race from day 1, so it’s working as intended. I don’t see your point?

This is my stance.

And I also agree with this sentiment because I see VEs getting Void options here on forward.

Laugh all you want, I have multiple max level characters of both factions. The Horde races I tend to favor are Tauren, Blood Elves, Highmountain, Nightborne, & Vulpera. If Forsaken ever get the option to stand upright, I’ll race change one of my Horde priests.
I get this but it’s quite literally their names that show up the vast majority of the time.
It’s not a “HOW DARE THEY”, it’s more “oh, look lann and mida dogpiling people again, how new and refreshing”.
To be more specific, the moment anyone starts discussing any other subject, they jump in and crap all over everything lol.
Add in the context of that being a neutral race from day 1, so it’s working as intended. I don’t see your point?
The fact that Pandaren are neutral is irrelevant. My point is that seeing a character on the opposite faction that looks similar or even exactly the same as mine, isn’t a big deal, nor is it without precedent.
I could list names of people that do that from the other side as well but I won’t and I don’t because it’s uncalled for and I say that as someone that as I already said has friends on both sides of this argument, I’ve also experienced it from both sides because people will come at me about how I’m a pro or I’m an anti and it’s like I’m neither so.
The fact that Pandaren are neutral is irrelevant
It’s actually not, because what you’re asking is for similar treatment to a non neutral race. A core race that belongs to the Horde.
I probably could list some instances too, but there’s no denying that the vast majority of this thread (or any thread with the word elf in it) is lann and midare.
I’m not denying that there are unfortunate people on both sides.
I mean…maybe it’s a good thing? Technically these threads stay alive due to their constant posting haha.
It would just be nice for them to give space to others, despite the belief that they’re just “disagreeing”. Idk
It’s actually not
I disagree.

To which I say… so what? It’s not relevant.

It is if you’re going to bring them up and put them on a pedestal to say look it works for Pandaren (which you just did twice in the recent convo).
Of course it works for Pandaren they are working as intended. Blood Elves aren’t a neutral race, feel free to play one when you want their visual fantasy.
Some people feel stronger about this subject than others and they take it much more seriously and hold strongly to their thoughts and opinions and that’s okay because they aren’t hurting anyone by disagreeing with them, as long as they aren’t attacking personally, calling names, etc. and Midare and Lann don’t do that so I don’t see them as bad as some of the people I have encountered in multiple threads.

Again I disagree. If Pandaren can look the same on both factions and its not an issue, then Void Elves and Blood Elves can have the option to look similar as well. The fact that Pandaren start as neutral is not relevant.

Neutrality is not relevant, and I already have many Blood Elf characters.
