A simple void elf request

Hmmm… I don’t agree with void-less hair for VE, but I do like starry and void gas edges of hairstyles, what would you think of that?

I think it would be nice. I want more void colors too, and void customizations in general, i just don’t like the tentacles.

luckily the void isn’t all tentacles. We could look at void walkers/lords/gods and dark naaru for inspiration for ideas

Yeah, one renamed themselves to honour their fallen high elven kin.

High elves get offended if you call them blood elves, I’m not aware of anything stating that blood elves get upset if you call them high elves.

Given that they literally renamed their people to honour high elves, it makes no sense for them to get insulted.

What? You even said yourself that they renamed themselves in honour of their fallen people.

They were also part of the Hunter Class Hall storyline & were at Suramar alongside the Night Elves. The Silver Covenant has arguably been more relevant and had more face time than some playable races on the Alliance side.

It makes sense, your it’s like you do not respect their fallen kin, and you are them calling alliance loyalists in a way.

Yeah your baiting. You know this stuff, it’s been discussed to you well more then necessary for you not to get the idea.

Sure you’re not :kissing_heart:

We all know the Void Elf advocates on these forums would like nothing more then to turn Smurfs into Knight Wielding blonde hair blue eyed Paladins.

Lets say if that would happen, would it make sense?

Paladins didn’t exist in High Elf society, because its a fairly new practice and one that Blood Elves achieved by capturing a Naaru.

High Elves were exclusively an arcane majority society, they had Spell Breakers as their main infantry unit.

Also the Silver Covenant is a small High Elf group that is part of Dalaran. You know that mage empire city of Arcane wielding mages of Human and Elves.

If you want to take void customizations out of the Void Elf, then what makes them unique? What makes them stand out to all the other Elven races?

This will probably fall on deaf ears but we do all know what this is really about :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

High Elf paladins exist and we have examples of them ingame. Plus they largely live within human society at this point. So it’s not outlandish to have High Elf Paladins. Especially if they’re Paladins in the same way Humans/Dwarves are.

And in Dalaran we specifically have a High Elf paladin trainer that’s a member of the Silver Covenant.

I agree with this, high elves does have paladins.

Void elves is known to be canonically smaller, and blizz is very bad with dealing with population math, I don’t think population is a valid argument due to that lol. (And I used to use population in my arguments.)

How ever not all of us falls under the ;

I certainly want VE to be it’s own entity, and I’d prefer the HE be represented by other means. Either via half elves, high elves given a seperate model aka like kul’tiran’s to humans and zandalari to darkspears. Or indirectly represented in 2 lights (one through void elves, which we do have, and one through model toggle on the lightforged.)

Of course if they do the model toggle, they would need to figure out how to change them enough to look unique vs BE’s. Maybe grow some muscle mass, 100% not share hair colors/styles, skin color changes etc.

Also to the “void elf paladin” folks, void elves as they are cannot fondimentally be paladins, they do not have a constant source of light flowing in them like the sunwell, and they cannot be embued with the light to use (like an alliance paladin or tuaren) and even if they did, it would result in the void elf quite literally exploding from existence.

I don’t support Void Elves getting Blood Elf hair models or textures. I want to protect what little we have left.

I don’t care if they get models and textures from other Alliance races.

This is pretty reasonable, I don’t want void elves to get any of the blood elf options but I’d be okay with them sharing hair colors with other alliance races.
Unfortunately then there’s a few blood elf players who claim ownership over the neutral alliance colors/textures as well lol… Pretty sure every alliance race has some form of brown/black/blonde hair, it just isn’t as flashy as the blood elf versions.

All voidy stuff is from Nether-Prince Durzaan trying to change them into ethereal type beings. That’s what the player character and Alleria stop. In my mind, the newest customizations represent High/Blood Elves who have joined after this event.

It’s fine to rp that, but lore-wise the void elves is not recruiting, and all stemmed from BE’s, and as such, should not go further into HE in appearance. Specially since there is so many options they can go for void-like customizations.

IMO most of the skin shades are worse than those the night elves have. They’re more vibrant and have a tone that clashes hard with a good majority of gear appearances in a way that nelf skin doesn’t. So even if void elves only got nelf skintones that’d be an upgrade in my book.

Then why are there High Elves in the rift studying the void with them?

They welcome those whom wish to learn of the void, not to turn them into void elves, as it was a painful and horrible process. Void elves themselves did not ask to be VE’s.

This is head canon and only if you think high elves are inherently Alliance loyalists. The race that left the Alliance years before they became blood elves.

Given the fact you’re making all this up on the spot while accusing me of “baiting”, I really have to wonder whether you’re baiting.

Because you are. Everything had been already told to you. Your just trying to start something for no good reason.

The remaining high elves on Alliance are breeding with humans after all I wouldn’t be surprised if they got together with Kul’tiran. Yes! Blizz make it happen.

For kicks and giggles of course.
