A simple void elf request

Right?

Like, if there was any lore to support that the path Alleria walked was being recreated or a new one was established…

Well they’d be set.

Until then it’s not lore. It’s assumption.

Original void elves also don’t have regular skin tones and blue eyes, and yet.

Just because you refuse to connect the blood and high elf dots blizzard left in the rift for you then shoved them in your face again by giving them blue eyes and regular skin tones doesn’t mean they aren’t there, you just join the other antis in creating the delusion that this isn’t something Blizzard did themselves. :man_shrugging:

So does every other color just watered down or shaded, or not at all cause no race should be restricted because of their “theme”, that’s moronic and stagnant game design.

Blizzard said these were RP options not in game lore ones.

It’s a simple matter.

We got the RP options and that’s it. No lore. No change to what void elves are.

… That’s literally how blizzard has done wow…

Darling, I think you’re not exactly the authority when it comes to coming up with ideas that would be interesting, engaging and unique when it comes to game design.

You cant ignore what is highly likely just because they haven’t gotten around to explaining the options, Void elves we’re created with high and blood elves in the rift, these options were always hinted at and are now actively being added.

No race has to be forced into a niche theme just because you value race purity, they’re allowed to be both things. :man_shrugging:

You’re right, I prefer developers listen to highly requested additions to the game that fit. :man_shrugging:

Two things;

One, Blizzard said they were just rp options. Blizzard. They haven’t said anything else in regards to them.

And Two, its funny how when I suggested that when I first got to the conversation high elf fans told me I was stupid for even remotely assuming something as outlandish as that.

Thats not to say you’re wrong. Blizzard has hinted at it but thats it. We have no evidence. We have no reason to believe anything beyond what they have said.

Those options for skin tone and the new eyes are RP options. Per Blizzard.

Again Blizzard routinely does that though.

I want to see more void options for Void Elves. I do not think more natural colors or high elf options are needed.

You’re welcome to disagree, as you do, but don’t expect me to suddenly change my mind.

They didn’t say these were RP options. They said they wanted to give us options so we could make our characters look the way we envision them, which is different.

And even so, if that were the case, it’d be even better for us, as there would be no need for lore justification for us to ask for a myriad of High Elf RP options for Void Elves. Or even Humans.

Because it’s just for RP purposes, right?

Exactly, also literally all customization options could be considered “RP options”.

Even still, all customization options have lore foundation. They wouldn’t be available in the first place if they didn’t comply with the lore.

Yep, that second pic is giving me nightmares.

Oh there is lore justification! Void elves are NOT high elves! Shocking I know…

Also do know that the blue post mentioning the skin colors as inherited from BE’s, also when was asked about the fact the story of dark spear trolls and dwarves still being that of dark spear trolls and bronze beard dwarves despite the appearance difference, he confirmed they are still dark spear and bronzebeard and mentioned the extra customizations is for rp purposes, this extends to ve skin colors.

I’m just popping in here to say no and pull out a spray bottle.

They would

Yep, in fact Ion stressed during Blizzcon the importance of developing new options that made sense lorewise, which is why we won’t be seeing new class/race combinations, as they feel there’s not enough lore foundation.

So, yes, any customization option implemented in game is canon and is compliant with current lore, if we are to observe the explanations given by devs themselves during Blizzcon.

People may disagree with them or not like them, of course. That doesn’t change they’re current, valid and lore compliant.

Umm… I think Ion mentioned during the customization Q&A that a wildhammer looking player dwarf is still a bronzebeard and the same with dark spear trolls. They added the customization for rp, not lore.

Either way. No one really wants to see VE further homogenized, and see BE lose their uniqueness.

Except maybe a extremely minor few.

I continue to laugh at how these people think the ones that want more non-void options are in the minority, even claiming is an “extremely minor few”. No, it’s not. It’s a majority and it doesn’t take much searching to see that. The minority group is those against such options.

It’s so easy to prove that, in fact.

Just log in, and yell in trade chat “new High Elf customizations are coming for Void Elves next patch!” or something along those lines, and see how many people react positively to that versus those who react negatively

If your interpretation of the lore is anything to go by, it’s perfectly safe to assume that there’s really not that many in support of this.

And I wonder how many would not even acknowledge you at all… I’m willing to bet those are the majority.

I mean just look at the first hundred or so posts in any one of these threads and see what the posts are like.

I bet they would try to immediately change the trade topic back to either a*** jokes or politics.

Delusion and lies are the only gateway for those to defend themselves when Lore and Daddy Blizz are against them.

Tends to happen when you’re the antagonist and want to see people lose for 0 reason. :man_shrugging:
