A simple solution to the vote kick issue

When people say they should think about things it sure does seem like they want the person to sit in the pain and humiliation of being kicked. Of being “not good enough”

I don’t think putting someone on ignore stops you from getting requeued with them as much as the fact that cross-server queueing greatly reduces your chances of seeing them ever again. LIke, I’m pretty sure ignore has no function on weather someone gets into a dungeon/raid with you or not.

Show me the logic in this.

I said the following:

And you somehow went to this:

And me telling you that you twisted what I said… is an attack? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I saw Merpish say as much. I disagree, and I don’t think that’s a good argument to make, if it’s any consolation.

As I said above;

and I will maintain this stance, I can’t speak for everyone who will argue here.

I tend not to reply to this suggestion. Not because I think it’s bad, but because in my experience it’s just unnecessary. Were Blizzard to enact this, I would think to myself “this is just psychologically manipulating a few forum posters into thinking something was done; it won’t actually change anything in practice.”

We don’t have data on how often people actually vote to kick, and we’re working off experience in the game in this discussion. However, by necessity, anyone having problems being kicked often is being kicked by different people. There is no situation in which you are, on average, meeting the same people in queue often enough for this fix to change anything.

It actually does. Ignoring a player in-game will prevent you from being randomly queued with them in LFD.

as a side note on that…does that affect the games performance?
I thought someone said it does and thats why its not a good idea.
Ive been curious about making alts in various places but I certainly dont want to affect someone elses game if it causes lag or anything

Huh, wild, first i’ve ever heard of it. I got some forum people to put on ignore now then cuz I got no desire to ever see them in game, lol. Not you, mind, just…other uninvolved people in other threads who have really toxic attitudes.

Nope. Because game performance is determind by how good of a machine you got. Queuing up with an Oceanic isn’t going to make your frame-rate drop to 2 FPS.

It is true, placing someone on ignore is supposed to prevent getting a queue with them again.

I can’t confirm it works because there are too many people queueing. The likelihood of me seeing the same person by chance again is slim to begin with. Maybe it’s more relevant in PvP, I wouldn’t know.

I can confirm it works in Overwatch. On a higher MMR account, I can see it in action. Though the ignore has a timer in that game.

Im so happy Lio my bestest friend in the world is still here fighting the good fight in over 234 different ways now. Im glad they stayed all night to promote the removal of all queuable content from the game! Thank you Lio my bestest and most loyal friend :orange_heart:

Oh, no need to remind me. I have a lot of those sort of people on ignore in-game because of toxic behaviour.

Doesn’t work when queuing for PVP, but PVP is something I don’t do anyways, so not much of a hassle for me.

Weird. I wonder what the reason for that is, queue times maybe?

and then theres that. lol.
Like Ive said…MOST of the kicks i see arent for anything the person did that warranted a kick.
The most common thing I see that is kick worthy is DPS pulling mobs and causing wipes…and even then we give the player a couple do overs.

MOST of the ‘problems’ i see in dungeons literally IS the rampant abuse of players, kicking them without their having done anything wrong.

and we know its a thing because…again…we have a list of them HERE in these threads saying its ok for them to kick anyone for any reason…or no reason…and I take them at their word on that…

I think it might be because of low participation for PVP, but I can’t really confirm on the reason why.

Im sorry, you seem ok but your posts are starting to disrupt and annoy me now so dont feel bad but you have to go to the ignore list.

You’re calling my thread a dumpster fire because it’s already been discussed to death. However I wasn’t a part of those conversations. Since they have already happened, I have now lost my opportunity to have a discussion about it. That is what I take issue with.

If you don’t like a topic just don’t participate in the thread?

If you had said it about my statement it would not be an attack, however you attacked me personally with:

This backhanded insult here is a personal attack. You are saying that I have a habit of intentionally twisting things, which I do not.

go read the thread. it only becomes a dumpster fire when certain posters show up …the ones ‘hoping it gets shut down’ who derail it into a dumpster fire.

cool. I must have misunderstood someone before on that one.
Ive always stuck to one realm but since we have the Warband bank now to share our gold Ive wanted to branch out into some other areas of the game realms

I’m getting the sense that the topic they so hate is actually a favorite, since they like to hang out in this thread
