A simple solution to BG que times imbalance

As most of us know, going into TBC there will be a shift in the number of players swapping from Alliance to Horde. This is going to make the already unbalanced que times only get worse. However, there is something Blizzard can do to impliment a fix to this issue.

Introducing “Battleground Mercenary Queing”

For those unfarmiliar with this concept, Mercenary is an option that players have on retail to que into a BG as the opposite Faction. This feature allows any player to que into any faction of their choosing with no added cost. You simply talk with the opposite factions Spy which is generally hiding near the battleground emessaries and puts a debuff on you which will make you a member of the opposite faction when you que for a BG.

I believe this is a “some changes” viable option to fix the imbalance. If you are currently playing pre patch BGs then you know as a Horde player the que times are at best 11 minutes and at worse over 15 min for some BGs. If you thought that it was hard to farm honor efficiently, just imagine how if you are a horde player with is essentially 11 times harder than as an alliance player.

So this is a proposition i have. Blizzard please consider this as it is something that only furthers faction imbalance that you yourself came up with a solution for and has no game breaking benefits that change player power outside of making it more evenly fair to gear for the pre arena season for both sides.

Thank you for taking your time to read this,
Good luck to all in their TBC endeavors!

Arenas are horde vs horde buddy, there is no need for this.

The only reason people pvp as horde is because horde attracts players that want to pvp, because UNDEAD rogues. Mean looking killing orcs, or big daddy taurens. It has nothing to do with racials, it is just what people find appealing.

Retail is that way—->

And this is a self correcting ‘problem’. If people are obsessed with a slightly faster queue…switch to Alliance.

I think it’s the same dude that made a similar thread. Some alliance guild master that won’t post on his mains. Etc etc…seems similar but I could be wrong.

Yes guys we know ques will get bad. This is not new.

TBC is more about arena to the Pvpers. Horde can que horde vs horde in them

Let’s wait and see if things get better or worse in bgs.

We horde are use to it.

I get accused of posting on multiple characters seemingly every day now. It’s cute you guys think I have like 40 geared out character to cycle through.

Also - no.

Horde should suffer through 4 hours queues. It’s the price they should have to pay for chasing meta racials for arena. You rolled Horde for the advantage? The price is hours and hours of queues into Alliance premades. Enjoy Hardiness / Will of the Forsaken. Hope it was worth it.

I’d vastly prefer a little system I like to call “delete half of all horde players’ accounts”.

I don’t care if you do or don’t. Just read the same way. Also curious if you might be a Tauren who made a similar thread.

Meh it’s all good. I honestly find it funny guessing if people are toon hopping.

There sure are a lot of orcs and undead who are concerned about fairness, and I just wanted to say that I think that’s mighty big hearted of you. You seem like reasonable folks who just want what’s healthy for the game! So how about we cut a deal - give draenei Hardiness (orcs lose it), give night elves re-flavored WotF (undead lose it). In return, we allow mercenary mode. Since this is about your sincere concern for queue time balance and definitely not about wanting to have your cake and eat it too, I’m sure you’ll be fine with this trade.

I think blizzard should just open up the ques to work like arena.

But hey they like to keep the game broken just for the few people who shout “For the Horde” or “For the allince”

Not sure why they still do this. It would save them a lot of trouble

slightly faster que’s would mean 2 mins faster imo not 11 minutes.

wait for WoD classic

I guess that’s why we don’t have it. Always some #nochanges type dude.

To say they are chasing meta racials you are speaking about a very small % of ppl most are switching cause of belfs and the other Majority is just Horde till i die. Im simply looking at this as a some changes which doesnt affect Power and is just a convenience change. I dont see how this hurts anyone in any way. All the alliance crying about having the racials, I would trade hardyness for draenie 1% hit ALL DAY LONG cause i love to PVE as well.

No. Go queue alliance.

Just hearing this makes me wish they make arenas faction vs other faction too.

Sickening to hear the super majority faction complain about balance being against their favor.

People will play horde cause they like it better. From my experience most play horde because they don’t like alliance.

I tend to prefer horde better because they are more helpful. Alliance side I always run Into a lot of people with attitude.

I did want to be alliance for tbc because ques. My buds are all horde only…and they don’t chase the meta

I also prefer horde because I like them better. Lore is much better here.

ofc they will like op racials better
fear charm immunity, stun immunity, aoe silence aoe stun…

No deal, you give draenei your axe spec, hardiness, command and blood fury and in return for losing those you can have re-flavored gift of the naaru and the hit aura. PLUS mercenary mode! Limited time offer, act quickly!

No. If you don’t want to sit in queues then boost an Alliance character for PVP. I was Horde on Retail from MoP through Legion and know all about the queues. I knew Classic would be the same and thus rolled Alliance. Thanks to Blood Elves TBCC will be even worse. Roll Alliance, because Horde queues have nowhere to go but up.

This is literally fake news, all of it. The exact opposite is true you contrarian. No one joins a faction for the queues, this is the most hindsighted thing ever.

If it wasn’t, then you and countless others wouldn’t be working the TBC racial congaline and neither would the infinite people who did private servers of the last decade+

Of course all alliance are going to complain their little heads off cause they would lose their precious instant ques. It wouldnt just fix the QUE time balance, it would also kill off a lot of the Premade Lose teams. They do this cause its faster than playing games. Wanna know how many horde premade lose groups there are? 0 cause they dont wanna waste 15 minutes to get next to no honor and 1 mark. Its a quality of life change for both sides. If you think Blizz intended for the game to be played that way then your opinion has no value here so you can go continue to que in to partial premades afking in your base and enjoy playing like a scrub.
