How To Join SotM: Just open our Discord and send Tsora#7568 a DM and she will conduct a short interview. Tsora runs our membership. Or you can fill out an application on our forums. We also welcome you to apply in-character by contacting one of the guild leaders: Uriella, Tsora or Tsivia.
Introduction: The Shadow of the Moon is a casual PvE role-playing guild focused on kindness and service to others. We feature in-character guild chat and an optional out of character discord channel. We believe in fostering a safe, positive, kind and family-friendly atmosphere. We do not raid or PvP as a guild.
How We Are Different: We function as an extended family, assisting each other with quests, items, RP storylines, and more. Honesty, respect, integrity, charity, and compassion are hallmarks of our group. The atmosphere of friendship and family is, for us, the foundation of everything. Our focus on charity to those within our family and those outside our family is a core value. We strive to set an example through our kindness to others. We host weekly RP events, socials, and charity runs. Though our mission statement may make it seem like we are a religious orientated group, we are not a religious guild, associated with any particular church or religious belief, and actual ask our members to keep religion, politics and current events out of our RP guild chat or discord channel.
Who Will Be Happy in SotM: We are not a PvP or Raid Guild. However, our members are free to organize and participate in those activities independently. However, if your focus is PvP and raiding, there are many other wonderful guilds that would likely better fit your needs. Role-playing, charity and PvE are our strengths and focus. Even though most of our membership is female, all gender identities are welcome as long as they follow our code of conduct.
Our membership is warm, thoughtful, and puts the needs of others in the realm above their own. If you are looking to raid, battle other players, or focus purely on end-game content, we may not be the best choice for you. But, if you are tired of feeling alone and seeking a loving family that will take care of you, we can’t wait to welcome you to SotM!
Requirements
Kindness » We are a warm, kind and benevolent guild. We expect our membership to treat everyone, even Alliance outside our guild, with respect, kindness, and support.
Atmosphere » We are a family-friendly guild. Every member devotes themselves to upholding a positive, supportive, warm and friendly environment. It is important that all our members feel safe and know they can trust each other in their most vulnerable moments. Profanity, sexism, politics, rude behavior, judgement and sexual oriented jokes/comments are prohibited.
RP » All types of role-playing are encouraged except for characters that are angry, mean, or unkind as that goes against our charter. If you are new to RP, we welcome you with open arms and will help you through the experience. Since we are a social and casual guild, we do not have a strict set of rules for RP except that you stay in character, do your best and align with our guild mission.
Discord » Discord is our only option for out-of-character chat. We are a role-playing guild filled with people who love to role-play, so we do not encourage OOC in the game in any way.
Guild Charter & Focus
The guild’s foundation was based on the ancient Order of Beneficence (Order of Good Deeds). All members of the guild devote themselves to three defining traits:

Future Plans
As a guild, we will never participate in PvP or Raid content though it isn’t discouraged as an individual activity. We are not interested in being the largest guild on the server and will grow slowly and cautiously so we can protect the unique environment we foster. Leveling is not a race for our members - it is all about the journey for us.
We host a variety of RP social events including evening parties, friendly RP games, charity runs, guild meetings, photo opportunities, etc. Participation in events is encouraged but not required.
