Hey, answer my question from earlier. You can then go back to your unreasonable hatred for a character whose people you victimized. But I won’t let you just ignore it.
@ Droite
People ignore the mission tables because they weren’t presented in the actual game. If they were, the situation would be much better, and you wouldn’t see three quarters of the Night Elf complaints that you do.
That again is the root of this issue - our successes or mitigating points against the Horde are pushed into deep dark corners where no one can see them. Our losses are put on full display for maximum pathos.
Beside that if Silvermoon was burned to the ground … you would be one of those wich make “ another thread instead of putting this reply in any of the already existing two dozen threads about this exact same topic.“
I literally rarely make threads and prefer to necro old threads I’ve made than to make new threads if it’s about the same exact topic. But sure, thank you for your contribution beloved.
I think one of the larger problems with a thread like this one is that they almost never get to their intended purpose. Instead they get flooded by certain (read: not most) Horde posters with an interest in telling us that our concerns aren’t real, and that we as paying customers can pound sand, while they remind us about their concerns, and turn the thread into advocacy that they should be fixed because they pay $15 a month.
Theoretically we could stay on track here, but I doubt that we will. Hence, expect a follow-up thread.
Are you talking about Sylvanas?
She’s hated for being an Innocent victim of Arthas and making the best of her situation to try and protect her people too… oh wait you are not interested in character parallels only playing the victim. Got it.
I have a great meta about how Sylvanas/Delarin the roles were reversed from Sylvanas/Arthas and yeah it’s a tragdey that Sylvanas became like the monster who made her and did the same thing to the Night Elves but that’s all part of the bigger picture, Delarin and the Night Elves have the exact same experience Sylvanas and the blood elves had when Arthas attacked Quel’thalas.
You are gonna sit here and argue with a BLOOD ELF. that your dehumanization and victimization at the hands of an undead monster is WORSE than ours? please tell me we are not going to sit here and compare tragedies.
If we are talking about parallels what about when Sylvanas and the Horde did unto Night Elves what Arthas and the Scourge did unto High Elves in the Sylvanas Warbringer?
Sylvanas had become the Arthas to Delarin but the comparison was very on the nose wouln’t you say?
Hardly what I would call victim.
You do realize you are not actually in fact a Blood Elf. Right?
Wait, rewind a bit. Is it said anywhere that Tyrande is there to save anybody? As far as I know, she’s not even aware it’s possible until the player character shows up, and she has them do it while she continues to chase down Sylvanas. She’s 100% there for payback.
Well, Nathanos does tell her that the souls of her people are with Sylvanas before she kills him, so surely she knows that her people are there. Why exactly she goes there is up for interpretation though.
I also don’t know what’s so wrong with her wanting to bring Sylvanas to justice, people are treating this as some kind of unreasonable thing to stop a genocidal mass murderer from reaping more havoc and bringing them to justice. So please educate me on that.
No, because I think it’s reasonable for any character in Tyrande’s situation to want vengeance. The forsaken should have been gunning for her just as hard, in my opinion.
According to war table missions Teldrassil itself is still being evacuated (despite the fact that everyone there is dead), stuff is actually going on in Gilneas(instead of a big pile of nothing) and i can kill the same dudes a million times so long the quests pop up again- to quote myself:
The canonicity of the mission table is always in question- we just dont know.
Yeah, and?
Trying to cut down every tree and blight the land is just another parallel to the Fall of Quelthalas and the dead scar specifically
You mean just like when Arthas wiped out a significant chunk of the high elves and went out of his way to be nasty about it. Seriously that second paragraph just proved my point even further.
Look, like I told Curseswords- exaggerating things is bad, but downplaying them is equally so. And Sylvanas had -and continues to have- Arthas parallels up the wazoo
What’s more tragic than a victim falling into the same patterns as her abuser?
I hope she can get justice and break this toxic cycle of hatred.
That was a theme in Battle for Azeroth, especially for the Horde. Breaking toxic patterns, these “Cycles of Hatred” this is another one of those cycles that will probably be resolved in Shadowlands.
Don’t worry, we’re all Erevien. By the way … I, Morgel (?), You, the person from the guild “Psychopaths”, Erevien, Leary. What, I remember so few 10-20 level characters? Chronocrabbit! Um … everyone?
Being a victim doesn’t excuse crappy behavior.
Two wrongs don’t make a right remember?
Justice against who? Arthas is dead and he was effectively dead when went full evil the sword and helmet melted his brain into goo.
Lol what? This “cycle of hatred” has been ridden almost exclusively by the Horde. They are the ones that keep perpetuating this. And its not like this has been going on over hundreds of years. The OG Horde warriors of the Horde are still around.
Saurfang was there in Shattrath getting play of the game all day long with the civilians.
Edit: please tell me you understand that you are not a real Blood Elf. Please?
