A recent lawsuit accuses the WoW team of being part of a "frat boy culture" - does that impact the story?

And I’m not forcing you to believe either. I am presenting the truth. When I asked about the Talmud and Qu’ran saying something also in the Bible, you said

and

You were trying to frame the Bible as bad, and now you pretend you weren’t. Why lie now?

At this point it is best not to continue as this topic violates the CoC. You can’t attack anyone else’s religion.

He could make a case and it’s not worth it to get banned over Thadeus’s shenanigans.

I’m sure we will get into the same religious debates on his next pro-Light thread anyways.

Yeah, your right. This can only lead to bad things. I’ll just step away from it before I say something that gets me silenced or banned

I know atleast one person who has rightfully been suspended for (I think) a week due to doing that.

I don’t want you to get banned.

You just came back lol.

I wouldn’t mind getting a bit back closer to the original topic, before the whole thread gets nuked. But I guess there will always be new threads to make when news breaks on the lawsuit.

I went a bit political to discuss judges, and how a Biden administration might seek results on this matter more than a Republican administration might have. The Republicans have appointed alot of judges thanks to McConnell’s shrewd machinations - so California and the Unions working with the current Administration to get settlements seems wiser than litigating in unfriendly federal courts that might have a more “corporate” allegiance.

It kinda snowballed into… politics that aren’t as related.

Sorry I missed this. Ah yes the “only women who confirm my existing bias are allowed to speak on this topic”

Hahaha ya no.

Any woman who now admits to having an abortion and not regretting it will be harassed for killing babies. No thank you. This is a tactic women know all too well from the anti-abortion crowd.

Nope. We are done with this, this convo has gone on long enough. I have a hard time controlling my temper on this subject but I’m trying.

Who would hire them?
Maybe other businesses would hire them to take out competition, but if I was the “business breaker” I would just have both companies pay me for “protection” from the other.

This is what became insurance.

I’m not going to pretend to be expert enough to define that. Since we can’t give tests to fetus in the womb, the best way to argue that would be to examine creatures at similar levels of neurological development. And if you’re going to make the case of fetal personhood at that primitive level, you would be morally obligated to extend that definition to any creature that shows equivalent development.

So believing these things means I am not a Christian?

There are things that so called right wing Christians believe in that also contradict the bible. There is a reason why the “republican Jesus / bible” meme has a ring of truth to it. Hell, going to the bathroom in your own home is a sin. Seriously, grow up please.

Which one? The one you keep deleting? I have already answered that.

The bible does support things that by todays standards are considered horrible and inhumane. Such as slavery. Honestly it is weird how the Old testament is even in the Bible when it is the new testament that Christians should be following since that begins with Jesus coming into his role as the Son of God and the redeemer. There are things in the Old Testament that we no longer need to do. Such as killing a lamb as a sacrifice to repent for our sins. So why is it that we pick and choose verses in the Old testament? It is called the OLD testament for a reason. Because it taught us the old way to worship God and to follow in his guidance.

And it is these contradictions that has led to numerous different types of “Christians”. Are you going to say that one group of Christians (say Catholics as an example) are not Christians because they value X as more important than Y? Because that is what you are doing to me. Calling me a fake Christian because I am pro-choice. Hell, Jesus was against corrupt organized churches etc. And yet we still see such corrupt organized churches. The Catholic Church is a big example with their whole “donate to the church to get a free ticket to Heaven” scam a few hundred years ago. And these days with their coverups of priests and other holy officials sexually assaulting minors, mainly young boys.

Edit: Okay so we can say sex but the term for a males seed is a no no.

So…
In the DFEH state case, ATVI counsel filed an: Ex Parte Application (to Stay the Case For The Purpose of Limited Discovery Into Alleged Ethics Violations by Counsel for Plaintiff and A Potential Motion to Disqualify).

DFEH counsel filed a Motion to strike the EEOC responses to their intervention pleading in the Federal Court.

I’m not getting into it all tonight, but I doubt this is well considered by DFEH.

Superficially: DFEH has a problem on their hands, and they’re not helping themselves with it; they’re going to make it worse.

No I do not say that one group of Christians are not Christians because they value X over Y; that very idea that is wrong and it’s a shame the so called Christians you referred to believe those things.

Marriage is a sacred union ordained by God, do you deny that? I did not call you fake Christian, I questioned you, there’s a difference. I also only deleted one question once, I apologize for not thinking that question through, so why are we still talking about it?

Corruption in churches does exist, and it is a problem that needs to be addressed; all those problems you said in the church today are true. Another problem these days is all of us Christians are getting tarred with the same brush as the corrupt ones, especially by non-Christians. I don’t support indulgences or the sex scandal coverup, but should you and I be tarred with that same brush?

Tell me, why are you attacking a fellow Christian and - in a way that looks cowardly - ignoring non-Christians ridiculing our religion and the Bible?

Hahaha ya no.

The fact that I’m engaging in a debate with you - a woman whose views are opposite to mine - shows that I have no problem allowing people who oppose me to speak.

Any woman who opposes abortion will be harassed or gaslighted into thinking she has internalized misogyny or religious brainwashing or whatever excuse ideologues can cook up. This is a tactic known all too well from the pro-abortion crowd.

You are basically saying it though.

Not really. You are basically probing me. You assumed that I was but you just wanted to get me into a gotcha moment. Besides, other cultures and nations had marriage or something similar to it. Hell, you can get married in a court house and not a church. So clearly the “religious” angle to marriage is not really that important, nor does it corner the market these days.

If you think having a discussion is attacking you, you seriously and I mean this, grow up. You think that someone having a different opinion than you is the same as attacking you. It is not. They are arguing for their side and if you think that is an attack on you personally, get thicker skin.

Except that you are labelling her side of the debate as “attacking you”. So clearly you do have a problem.

Because they are entitled to their opinions and unlike you, I don’t treat everything I don’t like as a personal attack. You can tell that I am not that impressed with so called “Christians” as well. I do like how you ignored my section about how the bible contradicts itself and how certain groups of Christians cherry pick which verses they want and which ones they want to ignore. Most of these are from the Old Testament.

It even looks like you are getting upset that I am not on your side.

No I’m not saying that.

Probing you is not calling you a fake Christian. If I thought you were fake, I wouldn’t probe at all and just accuse. Do you know the difference between probing and an accusation?

That doesn’t sound Christian.

I don’t think you having different views is attacking me. I think you saying these things like these is attacking me, though;

Those are some examples of you attacking me.

Also, what do you mean when you say;

It’s strange for a Christian to say the Bible contradicts itself. I am disappointed that a fellow Christian is going against God’s values on the subject of abortion and not helping a fellow Christian being mocked by non-believers for standing up for those values.

You said there are things in the Old Testament we no longer need to do, which is true. That doesn’t make it a contradiction. I don’t know why everyone who picks or chooses verses in the Old Testament does that, it varies from person to person.

Is it? Because it does.

Are you saying that a Christian has to 100% believe that the Bible never contradicts itself?

I never said that those things were.

So basically I was right when I said that you are upset that I am not a mindless drone who is 100% on your side. Almost like people from the same religion can have different opinions. Who would’ve guessed? Also I am laughing at how you think people having different opinions than you is attacking / mocking you. Seriously, grow up. I thought it was only the left that are snowflakes.

You are more or less implying it by even bringing up the questions.
