A recent lawsuit accuses the WoW team of being part of a "frat boy culture" - does that impact the story?

My grandfather was into genealogy too. He traced our line all the way back to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Even wrote a book on it, which is sitting somewhere in the Vatican Archives (He knew Pope John Paul II somehow). It’s cool to read through, shows our Renaissance-era coat of arms and everything.

I know very little of my Norse heritage, only that I am more than 70% Scandinavian. But I would like learn more about that family history, I just have no idea how to start.

What makes you think that the Christian right actually reads the bible? They would probably cry afoul and label Jesus as a communist for feeding 5000 hungry people for nothing material in return. Since everything they don’t like is communism.

Feeding everyone sounds pretty socialist tbh. And cleaning poor people’s feet, who is he? Bernie Sanders?

This is a joke.

Feigning empathy, glorifying meekness and poverty, is a good way to implement systems of totalitarianism. That is exactly why socialism has so much in common with Abrahamic faiths.

Get out of my temple! (Chruch, synygogue, whatever)

This is also a joke.

You’re probably thinking the original Clan Invasion. All the invading clans except Wolf, Ghost Bear, and Jade Falcon were beaten at Tukyyid in a Trial of Refusal by the Space Phone company. However, ComStar gets destroyed via a religious schism that leads to a Jihad and is then bought out and liquidated by several nation states. The chaos following leads to Clan Wolf and Jade Falcon wiping out the new nation-state whose home was Terra and fighting over who becomes the IlClan.

TL;DR: After a minor setback, the Clans end up winning.

That was correct.

Among many other ways that are called “good” as they pave the road.

Patriotism can be seen as a virtue, and it is also be seen as the last refuge of a scoundrel.

All roads are but a short detour towards good or ill.

The difference here is consistency. Socialism has lead to totalitarian rule 100% of the time. As it follows an age old, reliable doctrine of control.

In regards to the lawsuit, nothing new has happened, but I’ll be right on it when it does.

Are you talking about Bolshevism?

Well, I’m talking about something much more broad, but those things are included.

So you are generalizing.

Just in case.
How did all these socialist systems, which became totalitarian, come to power?

Usually by overthrowing the previous system

Lenin wrote an interesting essay called Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism.
Since you are a fan the idea of a free market. He points out that the biggest threat to the free market is Capitalist monopolies. “Monopoly is exactly the opposite of free competition; but we have seen the latter being transformed into monopoly before our very eyes, creating large-scale industry and eliminating small industry, replacing large-scale industry by still larger-scale industry, finally leading to such a concentration of production and capital that monopoly has been and is the result.”

You should broaden your political thought. You’d be surprised how much the things that are important to you actually don’t line up with Capitalism.

What happened to the rest of the systems (“favorites” or “could not find a start”)? Were conquered, converted to capitalism, united with capitalism, died of hunger and disease?
Anyway. If socialism wins the elections and the electoral system is preserved, and the disadvantage of obtaining resources by military means, will this be something new in history?

Good on your sister for stepping up to such a big task at that age.

Advancements in science provide more arguments against abortion instead of for it.

  • A woman doesn’t want to give birth? she can have a C-section.
  • A woman doesn’t want to get pregnant but still have male lovers? there’s birth control pills, she could get her tubes tied or only choose male lovers who’ve had vasectomies to name a few.
  • Seeing the development of a baby from conception to birth due to increasingly advanced medical technology? It undermines if not debunks the “it’s just a clump of cells” argument when you know a baby has their own heartbeat one month after conception.
  • If the issue of the importance of a developing baby hearing their mothers’ voice is solved, hopefully the artificial womb will be invented and be the end of abortions.

On the non-scientific side, if she can’t handle raising a child, that’s what foster care and orphanages are for. Contraceptives are not 100% effective when tried, but again, that’s what adoption is for.

Did you just imply pro-life people are uncivilized?

I also stated orphanages, not just foster care. What does cutting taxes have to do with that? (There’s also non-right wing people who support tax cuts). Why are you calling on the pro-life people to adopt kids? If the pro-choice people as so much better than pro-life people, as people like you claim, why don’t they step up?

Good on you for fostering children. How are they going?

Where did you get the information that foster care is a pipeline to prison? The studies I’ve seen from census’ and psychological studies show single-parent households are the biggest pipeline to prison. Doesn’t mean that always happens, it’s just most common form that environment.

Sorry to hear that childbirth took such a toll on your body. Glad you recovered. Some people it doesn’t effect that much, it’s case-by-case.

You said anti-abortion is misogynistic and stupidly tried to identify it as terrorism after I clearly stated my opposition to abortion. Those are the words of an ideologue, and sound like an attack to me.

By the way, how can you tell when I’m talking to or about you if you have me blocked and muted, as you said you would on a previous thread?
