A recent lawsuit accuses the WoW team of being part of a "frat boy culture" - does that impact the story?

I feel the same, but it does get awkward after a while discussing things like misogyny around here, when I’m a guy. Racism is totally fine with me to talk about, since I have experienced it.

Why aren’t you assigning any responsibility to Manchin and Senema? THEY are the only two Democrats voting against the bill, but you’re calling the “Far Left” for supporting a bill the majority of Americans would go for.

As guys, we are the ones who need to speak out the most and call other men out on their BS

True, but I don’t like being told that I’m being offended “on behalf of” someone else. It’s another far-right tactic, it seems.

There’s a really good article on the subject https:// www .newamerica.org/weekly/what-we-already-know-about-incels/ (don’t judge the source, this source is heavily and radically biased I just found this article interesting)

one of the most interesting tidbit to me about this article is the following quote because I see it played out in these forums day in and day out:

“I wonder, though, about the dynamics among men that stoke misogynist behavior: How much incel behavior is virulent theater—men performing a collectively informed toxic masculinity for one other?”

The reaction I got in the other thread from Ikaar and how he admitted to posting something racist or misogynist just to get a desired reaction. It’s puzzling, it’s like a performance at women’s expense where all the other men clap at the end.

I was banned once (last Feburary or March) from these forums for bringing up Alek Minassian. I think it was either Ainhin or Finnibas I was debating, who accused Sylvanas fans of potentially getting upset over the direction of the narrative if we got to kill her in the raid. This was at a point in time where hysteria around getting to kill her was vitolic because SoD was just announced at Blizzconline, with some anti-Sylvanas posters calling for her to be humiliated and beheaded like Taretha. We still see Teretha hate present in these forums. This hated for Teretha isn’t justified, it’s deeply rooted in misogynistic hatred and desire of punishing women for rebellion.

It just….it’s weird because I often think to myself “wtf is wrong with you?”. It just seems that sort attitude and way of thinking has been normalized through media, movies, etc

There’s currently a thread on General Discussion about how “masculinity is dying out”, because male characters are weak, or something.

Edit: It looks like it’s gone.

Safe man: not fit for military service, not an athlete, not a member of same-sex communities.
Problem solving: expanding, mixing rights and practices of different genders.

Hmm, so-so squeeze. Anyway.

I assume Ikaar was either trolling or being disingenuous based on his statement that he only cares about the truth despite handwaving away Taretha’s explicitly stated importance confirmed in Twilight Of The Aspects simply because he didn’t like it.

Most men have a really warped idea of what masculinity entails

Athletic, educated, healthy, sociable, not hesitant indefinitely, before mumbling something poorly formulated, he is able to refuse and at the same time he will not be attacked …
Right?

I guess they’re right.

There is no talk that femininity is dying out?

I saw a little bit of that kind of talk on the forums. They usually refers to gender roles being subverted.

Um … How would that look? A woman forcibly comes, cooks, educates, cleans up, takes money? “The main task of the Most Useful Apparatus is to catch up and immobilize the client, after which the application of benefit begins”?

But you cannot be anyone, you will be condemned, you will die, and they will say, “I myself am guilty.”
Hmm.

How was it there? “Beat him, taunt him, today today he is alone unsociable” …
The Cursed Princess Club?

I just had an idea for a movie. It’d be about a woman who works as a maid, but is secretly an assassin for hire who also kills people who she finds to be problematic to society in her spare time. The dialogue would be full of puns and double entendres involving cleaning and housekeeping. The movie would be called The Cleaner.

Did Taretha do the wrong thing? How could she have? She was an abuse victim whose actions lead to the freeing of slaves. Extreme hatred for the Horde must apply as well.

Genre - action, stealth or something like that? The emphasis will clearly not be on the maid part, right?

An action semi-parody. The moments showing her doing maid work would be scenes for character development while the assassinations would have exciting combat and gunplay.

The Infrastructure Bill has already passed the Senate. They already voted for it. It is sitting in the House waiting to be voted on - but the Far Left is withholding their vote until the Reconciliation bill is voted on. Pelosi wanted to bring the Infrastructure bill to the floor, pass it, and then work on the Reconciliation bill. But the Far Left said they wouldn’t vote for the Infrastructure bill until the Reconciliation bill is passed.

The fact remains - Sinema and Manchin have voted for the Infrastructure bill and it has passed the Senate. That is why I don’t blame them. It could be law already, but for the far left.
