I probably did too (we all have to pee and those 2 hour AV games can’t be paused) but he literally sat in the starting cave the entire time while he was playing PS2 on the TV next to his desk.

I thought the same thing. I remember participating in this topic end of last year. Part of me was like “maybe these people have a point, that low level BGs are farm fests” So instead of arguing something I wasn’t super aware of, I made my first low level toon (a Warlock, go figure!) That was a bit iffy only because Warlocks aren’t the best at really low levels, but still wasn’t much GY farming like I read here. Then I made a Druid and OH Boy! was that fun. Still the only GY farming was against a 5 man guild premade. Matches weren’t super imbalanced like I had read here again.

Likewise, I can understand your points of view. We’ve had some solid discussions on this topic my worgen buddy, I wish more folks were capable of having actual conversations with people they don’t agree with.

I’ve never said that. I was just making a suggestion to make it so new players cannot even queue, if you really feel that way. Is there a reason for the hostility?

It’s a common theme but to be fair, it’s not exclusive here. Even after so many years of seeing it, I will never understand why people can hate so much hate for no other reason than someone has a different view. Doesn’t mean you’ll disagree on every subject.

If you’re gunna try and talk about a subject you really should have something to base it on. You self admittedly don’t play low level bgs… so how are you talking with such authority on the state of low level bgs? How can your arguments be based in reality when you yourself don’t play them!? You’re simply spouting your personal opinions based on nothing but preconceived notions.

If you want to discuss the state of low level bgs you should go experience them. Do what Jugga did, make a new toon and try leveling thru bgs, or do like myself and other do just level alts in bgs. You need some actual experience in the topic at hand for your opinions to hold any water. It’d be like me going to the raiding forums, i myself am not a raider, never have been. If I went to the forums on the new raid for instance, and started going off about the state of the encounters, the best strats for beating the bosses, class raid balance, etc… I would rightfully get laughed out of the room. I have no experience in what I am talking about, so why should anyone listen to what I have to say on a subject I know nothing about?

I did. I leveled my Shadow Priest during BFA, I dont care to level again. I am basing my opinions on my experience. Also, I basing them on what others have said in forums, basing them on others I have talked to, and basing them on Blizzards actions by making a separate que and removing the ability to exploit.

I’m sure there’s plenty of other games that are fun. Maybe not many where you can poop on people in greys but you might have to look for other ways to have fun and feel like a big man.

Oh for sure. If anything it’s worse IRL with politics right now, if you’re in the US at any rate.

No one can discuss ideas in an objective way anymore. It’s all my team vs your team, where my team is always correct and righteous and your team is always wrong and evil. When that’s where everyone comes from, it’s doomed from the start.

It sounds like you’ve never met a twink.

We’ve had this discussion in the community I belong to.

Your basic assumptions, which I see repeated often on these forums, are incorrect.

Your claim is that there are two and only two mindsets of twinks, and that’s wrong.

  1. Twinks who want to farm badly geared players.
  2. Twinks who want to play against other twinks.

You completely missed the third group…

  1. Twinks who want to play mixed battlegrounds, so they can help an otherwise weak team win and set an example of how to play these games, ie, teamwork wins.

This third one is the largest group. The first is smaller but significant.

And the second one, well, we’d settle for it, but it’s not an option.

The twink community is divided on unsportsmanlike behaviors like graveyard farming and the macro exploit.

I certainly hope that they have already fixed the macro exploit. I wish they would make graveyards immune to damage as they already have in a few.

You seemed to have not read what you replied to tho. At least not very well.

I said in the MMORPG genre there really aren’t any better options for PvP than WoW. I’ve tried damn near all of them, and none of them are even close. There’s a reason WoW is still the king of MMORPGs.

I just love when other people tell me my own personal motivations. Who doesn’t like it when a stranger on the internet tells them what’s in their own head?

My reasons for twinking have nothing to do with “wanting to feel like a big man”. In fact for the last 15+ years I’ve played this game I have only started twinking this year. End game bgs were always my jam before, RBGs to be specific. But the removal of pvp stats on gear, and pvp gear vendors, and replacing them with the infinite treadmills and slot machines on top of slot machines that is end game gearing killed the fun for me. So me and some buddies went to twinking instead. That way we could still enjoy the part of the game we find fun, battlegrounds, without having to run thru the skinner-box of BFA gearing first.

Updates on 8.2:

Macro exploit appears to be fixed.

Powerlevelers still can powerlevel if they had their experience locked prior to this expansion.

Legion locked characters still good go to.

1/3 not bad for Blizzard
