It’s kind of ridiculous to pretend people weren’t swiping or that they ‘‘quit very fast’’.
Not disagreeing that GDKP keeps content going that would’ve died off, this seems undeniable but two things can be true at the same time.

as someone who has never bought gold ive never lost the incentive of my continual progress because i value the gold i earn with my time. if you swipe all that gold/time/loot loses its meaning which is why you quit the game faster.
Bro, gdkp is dead in fresh, its banned, gone. Just chill on era and spam in stormwind with all the other bots and swipers. no one will miss you in fresh

Also in that scenario without RMT, the GDKP pot might not be nearly as lucrative, so OP might still feel the same way - not incentivized to keep raiding.
Lots of people will be upset they can’t swipe for pixels but you still have Era for that.

It’s just such a nonsensical extrapolation and conclusion. We all know swipers exist and are the main drivers of GDKPs. Just because YOU never bought gold doesn’t mean sh1t, just like your personal feeling about incentive means nothing.
People swipe because they don’t have the time to grind or gold or simply cba. The idea that people need to value the gold they earn to enjoy the game is so hilariously stupid.
We get it, you dislike GDKPs being banned. As do I. But I’m not so stubborn to pretend people weren’t swiping like crazy.

It 100% won’t be and he/she knows it. They just need to pretend swiping isn’t a thing to continue to be angry at GDKPs being banned.
I’m sure most of us have been in GDKPs with small pots knowing full well it was a waste of time and I’m sure some of us have been in ones with huge pots where the gold most definitely wasn’t farmed lol.

inflated botted gold doesnt change the fact GDKP is the best loot system. It just changes the relative value of gold from an item selling fo 10g to sell for 150g instead but the relative value remains the same across the game.
MC with naxx gear is less time than a retail M+
and its also less rewarding than a kick in the nuts
There we go. Finally some honesty. You’re okay with swiping and gold inflation due to botting, boosting and what not as long as you get to run GDKPs.

I don’t blame GDKP. Was very clear about that in the beginning. If Blizzard could guarantee no swiping will happen and the only gold being used in GDKPs is hard earned farmed gold I’d 100% be against the ban.
They can’t guarantee that, neither can you, therefore it’s banned.
The only dimwit here is you, for being so slow to admit you’re okay with swiping as long as you get to run GDKPs.

with that logic you should 100% be against the AH existing but youre not. You just hate GDKP because you hate the thought of others getting gear that only you deserve. I’ve found the people who really hate GDKP are the same type of people who stand by the mailbox with their good gear for people to see them. These people put their whole self worth into their WoW characters so when they perceive that others are circumventing this path of the true heroes it hurts their ego/self worth. Its extremely sad stuff to be honest.

I’m a huge fan of SR. Unfortunate that loot goblins can’t strategize their SR priority so they resort to RMT and GDKPs.
Rules for SR:
- Always be close to the last person putting your SRs in.
- Know your first BiS and Second BiS.
- SR items from those lists that no one else has on SR.
- Don’t just snap SR weapons and trinkets as those always have a lot of competition (This is the big one loot goblins can never not do.)
- SR items off the 1st 3 bosses because the raid will likely fall apart before the end as people leave the group once the boss they need doesnt drop the 1 item they needed and you cant find replacements for a partially finished raid.
