A question about anime

I was trying some anime and find out that there are way too many animes where the plot is the unpopular shy guy always ends up with the super pupolar girl of the class, with very few variations like she is rich, a model, etc

but all of them are really the same

i heard that those guy are intentionally make like that so the reader can, isert himself in the place of the guy easily, something like that, sorry i dont know the words to explain it properly but i hope i gave my point clear

have you notice of that too ?

or maybe it is only me ? but i really feel like there is barely differences on this kind of animes, for real you can put these animes next to each other and feels like a second season of the same project

i am struggling a lot to see differences that can make them unique, like you see one you see them all

please note that i am not trying to say anything rude about the people who enjoy those type of animes, warcraft also has terrible writing and i have plans to keep playing it :3

but i would like hear your opinion about that kind of animes, do you think they are all the same with little differences ?

do you have favorites ?

There’s a lot of anime, some are generic and some are unique.

Yeah it’s kind of a trope to make young male readers feel like “they get the girl” and thus “win” also lol, I kinda get it.

It’s 100% a self-insert.

My favorites right now are Dungeon Meshi which I’ve finished the first season of, and Shangri-la Frontier, Season 2, which is still running.

yeah gets old.
“some dude gets ported to a world, no one likes him.
then 160 girls likes him, he dont notice it, but likes the one tsundere girl that verbally abuses him all day, not the nice girl.”

^ thats not only the usual story, but the title of the shows these days lol.
early 2000s and below are where anime is at. i p much gave up on this new crap.
old adult swim and toonami was the best of times.

You need to watch Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It’s the best anime and all other opinions are invalid. Cowboy Bebop is also the best anime.

Edit: Trigun is good too.

Harem theme. Is that still the go-to?

All anime is an alagory of other things.

They only add gore and full figured women to the mix, thats it.

Anime is a boys story telling device because they wont read a book without double d’s and a super submissive woman involved.

Trigun. Delicious in Dungeon. Made in Abyss. Devilman from the old OVAs with the bad voice acting, to Devilman Crybaby. Hellsing is good too altho I kinda prefer the Abridged series more over it. As ridiculous as that sounds.

I wasn’t sure if castlevania counted fully as an anime but yes castlevania is good too. I can just watch that bishop die over and over.
