Since my level 70 Troll Hunter, Huntardia, is in putrid gear, when and where can I get that sweet pre-patch armor set? Will it be hard to get?
You’d be better off farming BGs/honour for the S4 gear, it’s pretty cheap and is quite fast - and the gear is massively better.

S4 gear will be super cheap honor so you pick up weps and offset quickly. Event gear is also easy to get and should be available once we reach the zombie invasion part of the event. Hardest part will be fighting other players for rare spawns.
Yeah what everyone just said best gear in game similar to sunwell gear is all from honor now s4 arena gear.
Well, it looks like Sergeant Huntardia will get back into killing Alliance scum, but really mostly dying to Alliance scum.

While i agree the S4 gear is gonna be a massive improvement. I didn’t see anyone answer your question of when and where you can farm preatch gear set.
When = Sept 13th through launch
Where = all over old world azeroth (where ever the scourge are currently attacking) I forget the exact details but there will be rare spawns around the scourge attack sites as i recall each type of rarespawn drops a different slot of item (then you have to hope you get the right armor class for your toon) and then the last 1 or 2 pieces can be purchased with tokens you loot off of the scourge from a new argent dawn vendor.
