I agree to an extent. We should have the option. Dragonriding is cool to an extent. It should be a profession. I want old flying back because I’m more of a raider and mythic runner so I don’t have much time to be getting glyphs and stuff. I only play maybe a hour or 2 a day.

Because realism promotes immersion. It’s why we have physics, economics, and characters (humans, wolves, horses, etc.) that are all modeled after the real world.

I agree with the OP. I’m getting older, and am a stroke survivor with nerve issues in both hands. Been playing since Vanilla, flying since BC, and this is the first time I really don’t want to get out in the world. It’s painful, it’s hard to turn and land, you can’t hover, and just too fast for me. Give us the ability to use some form of old flying SOON, PLEASE.

Nope your not in the minority. Blizzard clearly did not think things through with it. People like you and other people who might not like it. By making it a sole focus of the expansion they alienated many of their players. They seem to have forgot they got to design the game for everyone and should have asked that question. What if many players do not like it what then? What if our disabled players cannot master it? Nope it was like the last few expansions they made it a focus point of the expansion and that was not a good idea. I bet you the sales will not even be half what Shadowlands got if not lower. Many people waited to buy it this time and are waiting for the honeymoon to end. Reading the foeums the Honeymoon is certainly ending and their are issues and concerns coming out now. Anyway they want my money they got to make a game I want to play it is simple as that. All I have wanted was to have Flying at the beginning of every expansion and no stupid Pathfinder crap. I want to buy expansion and play expansion. I want to do the quests and fly from quest to quest, Ion thinks that is bad though.

For now you get Dragonriding. If you can’t deal with Dragonriding, you can get to most places in Dragonflight on ground mounts.
And flight points! The only time I’ve used those is when I want to get somewhere but have to go afk. Otherwise I almost forget they’re there.
That said, sometimes I would rather have regular flying but that’s more because I’m lazy.
And what are you going to do when you get the omg the water heater has just burst and you have to go run to turn the water off

You know what is different from every other expansion since BC? Dragon riders (a subset of the community) get to fly while the rest of us have to walk.
