They should seal off UC, rebuild Lordaeron on the surface, and have UC become a dungeon beneath the city. Like Stockade or RFC.
Andorhal, if Lordaeron has been truly blown to kingdom come and the Undercity is collapsed.
Stratholme wonât work, itâs cursed to forever burn and the Plaguelands still has the issue of undead continuing to rise.
Since the scourge are allegedly invading and leaving prime real estate vacant, we should just relocate and establish an empire in the north with Icecrown as our center.
I donât understand why shaman canât just wash out the plague through the Sewers. Thrall already did it on a smaller scale in Battle for Undercity.
After that they can rebuild the ruins with new spooky buildings.
Stratholme is a nice option if Tirisfal/UC is completely unavailable. Given how the world just is, geographically speaking, Capital City seems like the premier spot that Iâd like to retain. Given the ungodly amount of the holy light and Argent influence in both Plaguelands it just seems unfeasible.
Alterac seems like a better option. While EPL is wholly⌠holy⌠WPL actually has Forsaken influence and control. So to rebuild Alerac, maybe even raise Perenolde as was suggested elsewhere. While ice and cold doesnât seem to particularly fit the Forsaken, they can surely go back underground like Undercity, perhaps even create the capital in the Tarren Mill area instead with a new spooky forest. This would shift the Forsakenâs core holdings to Hillsbrad/Alerac as the new â1-10 zoneâ and Western Plaguelands as the â10-20â zone allowing Tirisfal and Silverpine to be more contested territories with stories for control surrounding that.
Still, #1 votes goes for just rebuilding Capital/Under City as a nice, new, âshinyâ city.
I like the idea that a rebuilt Lordaeron City would have one of the daily fishing quests turned into a âput on this blight suit, scuba into the old Undercity, and scavenge some supplies from down there in the limited time the suit keeps you from instantly meltingâ. Because thatâd be fun.
Northrend is the perfect place for a new Forsaken capital.
Better than EK at least.
Lordaeron city is their rightful home. Get Calia and take it back. Alliance would have no choice but to support her claim if they donât want to look like imperialist liars.
Well, at least if UC never comes back, we know that Kilroggâs vision of our death was the non-canon version, and Khadgar dies in Strormwind with all the Alliance players.
Naxx is empty, right?
Weâll use that.
Andorhal until UC is cleaned up.
Turning the Forsaken back to Lordaeron empire with Queen Calia makes me nauseous. Itâs like reverse development. They should tear down the existing ruins and build dark creepy towers.
Their rulers should be known to none but the Forsaken, ruling from the shadows and steeped in mystery. And with the Scourge event, you should have them actively recruiting undead into their ranks. Put that Shadow magic to use. Make Sylvanas look like a phase they got over.
Just no Calia and her light nonsense, please.
I think a new necropolis would be appropriate and cool.
Thereâs alot of open options that could have been taken yes.
If this were a book series, I would sincerely love this idea. It doesnât fit an MMO at all, but itâs still very cool.
I would love if the Forsaken took a page from Torghast with regard to their themes. Or like the towers of Mordor, and replaced Lordaeronâs existing spires with them.
Pool in some architecture from their Northrend zones, and you could have a fully functional city above the Undercity.
The Blight-filled Undercity can be turned into the pits where they throw their worst criminals and enemies.
There are so many thematics to explore with the Forsaken, and they are wasting it on Calia, and it annoys me a lot.
I feel you. Arthas had towers of Mordor. My guild name references the most famous one. Very cool ideas that Blizzard could use, but wonât.
Iâd dig this. I think itâs imperative that the forsaken remain in Tirisfal.
Could even be a dungeon, too.
I would like them to move away from being⌠just like the Scourge, and especially Arthas-themed⌠so Iâd fuse it with their Northrend architecture.
Mordorian towers with spirals of the Northrend-type construction around it, domed in the centre of the city and overall an impenetrable fortress due to how ridiculously itâs constructed but also being reinforced with metal from the Shadowlands.
The city itself is full of hidden passages, mazes and networks and lead to different quarters but also connected by Necropolis-like portals.
Itâs nice and all to think about different alternatives but for how much did blizzard stall until they decided to repair stormwind?, how many races are still lacking their own capital?, if nothing was datamined then I think this isnât going to be repaired any time soon.
