I’ve played WoW for a long time. At this point in my life, I don’t have much time to commit to the game. I log in two or three times a week to raid log and clear content and farm up a little gold to buy consumables. Admittedly, I can’t afford my consumes each and every week.
I can’t understand why these GDKPers would want a loot system where you have to spend a lot of time farming gold to get the gear they need. I’d much rather just log on when I can and simply win the roll. It’s wayyyy better.
I’m so excited for this upcoming phase. Finally it does not matter how much you play the game. Everyone has the same chance to get lucky and win the loot. At the end of the day, I’d rather be lucky than good.
You do gdkp on 4 of your characters, collect anywhere from 75-125g or 8 or 9 items between them, or you save up for that epic you want or the specific item you want.
After 2 lockouts of doing this you get to see why it is so efficient. Those who want big items or everything early will have to pay big gold. You sit back and let them blow their load on the first few lockouts and you wait until the right circumstances and just clean up. I have 600g between my characters and more or less full bis.
that takes so much time tho. i just want to play the part of the game i enjoy and thats it. hopefully i can get lucky and then ill be as strong as the people who spent all week farming
they are still going to buy it and they will still throw the gold in the economy because it’ll be used on consumes and boes.
stopping gdkp’s is about of a bandaid fix as ducktaping a hole in your shoe.
Now they said they are cracking down on botting in phase 2 so hopefully that helps a lot because gold buying is the problem. not gdkp
No time is spent farming gold. People whip out their credit card, and google “WoW SOD gold” and place an order. The people who don’t buy gold like this system, because they get to benefit from someone else buying gold. The pots are bigger because of the gold buyers, and they get a piece of it.
It’s like people who play games with cheaters on their team even though they don’t cheat themselves. They like benefitting from having the cheater on their team, but without the risk of consequences.
You can’t understand it because of your ignorance to the situation.
Most people don’t RMT to go to GDKPs. They RMT to invest in other things so they have disposable income for GDKPs. You don’t go into them trying to come out negative unless you’re planning on buying gear.
So it’s nice to go in, use full consumables, get no loot, but get gold to cover those cost and some.
For real, it’s 10x smarter to RMT for your characters consumables, materials, professions etc. then use that gold capital to get into a GDKP and do no bidding unless good prices, versus RMT to straight up buy gear directly.
Do you not understand the simple concept of supply and demand? If there is less demand there will be less supply. It’s actually very simple if your brain functions even remotely.
