If you are intentionally getting people ON YOUR OWN FACTION killed that’s griefing regardless of the circumstances.

The guy that’s been kiting around the 60 Elite Wyrmguard from Ashenvale through Orgrimmar every night for the last week on Nightslayer? That’s griefing too.

I highlighted the important part for you.

Some Mage AoE grinding detracts from your enjoyment but it’s not intentional, they’re just playing the game.

You intentionally getting them killed because they’re AoE grinding and you want to kill mobs is detracting from their enjoyment and is covered by the griefing policy.

Getting an OPPOSING FACTION AoE grinding mage killed intentionally isn’t griefing IF you’re on a PVP server.

It’s still griefing if you’re on a PVE server or a HC server.
They’re super proactive with banning griefers on the HC servers because of the time sink that happens if you lose your dude because some some dork intentionally got you killed.

Just because you don’t view it as griefing doesn’t mean it isn’t griefing.

The part that I bolded, italicised, and put arrows pointing at says exactly what I said to you.

Griefing is bannable.
Doing what that guy suggested in griefing on 2/3 server types and 5/6 scenarios.

The only time it’s not griefing is if you’re on a PVP server and the person is on the opposing faction, then it’s just “PVP happened on a PVP server”.

Just because you don’t consider it griefing doesn’t mean it’s not griefing.

You know what else is griefing that A LOT of people don’t consider griefing?

Safespotting/rooftop camping in places like Gads, Darkshire, the Zep Tower in Grom’Gol, and on top of the buildings in Orgrimmar or Stormwind.
That’s been a bannable offense since 2004 but people still do it.

That’s not what buddy was saying to do go re-read the post.

He said to sap a mob so it aggros from their Wand pull but doesn’t actually go for the mage until after they’re OOM and low on health.

If the mage is friendly and you’re playing a DPS with break on damage CC or just CC and a way to drop combat.,.,

Control a single mov in the pull they make holding it back from them so i takes basically no damage.

Watch the mages progress and when he is low health or especially low mana and has already used Nova, Block, and potentially snap also… Release your weapon and watch with glee and excitement as the lil guy does his thing. The more mobs you con do this with the better, example Sap One in the area he is wanding to pull, or just sap one if he is using the mounted method. As he is collecting start your stun lock with careful consideration to do as little damage as possible.

Sap will break organically and you can release both on sap break or make it more interesting to send one and then the other. You can break your own sap with throw and then vanish since he is already on threat table.

It’s kinda crazy how toxic WoW has become.
Classic just keeps getting more and more toxic too.
Both of the Discords for the Nightslayer PVP server are full of actual racism and people posting pro-hitler memes. The in game chats aren’t much better, and I’ve heard that the Alliance side is worse than Horde, which is crazy because there’s people talking about ethnic cleansing and stuff like that in barrens chat.
