Yes then can do that… Back door jump into DB… Do a prospector pull. Horde wins before Alliance and do a pally pull.
Except, the game used to frequently end with one boss dying a mere few seconds before the other.
Put up or shut up.
I made my points earlier and have nothing more to add to the discussion. I don’t participate in arguing in circles and having nonsense thrown about. Let’s talk about concrete issues instead of nattering about how many seconds faster something is.
The big difference now is ALLIANCE CAN’T FORCE TURTLE AT BRIDGE ANYMORE.
Now that alliance backdoor is common knowledge to horde. Alliance have absolutely no base defense positions. Back in the day alliance could just sit at bridge all day. This stout defense being the great alliance advantage.
Now horde just trickle in from two directions right into our GY with soo much room to just encircle the crap out of whoevers defending.
Let me guess…the bridge that they don’t even have to cross and the choke point that our GY is on the wrong side of.
Yeah right. you would get completely steamrolled. Thats not only trash-talking, but fact.
The best choke on the map is debatable but even it is the best choke, giving up 75% or more of the map seems to escape anyone who says this.
Easy wins leads to some players thinking they are better than they are. Horde aren’t any better than alliance. Ask yourself why horde don’t win wsg at the same high rate as AV if horde are so much better at pvp.
Your name is a fart…
Touché
Dont forget they can just jump off the back of IBGY
Yeah well those lines can represent alliance but not horde, alliance have more of a straight pathway at the start while horde has winding curves and obstacles like that wagon in front of ice blood gy.
Also horde are so bad at mounting up, if alliance weren’t stopping and were actually running straight down the center of the field horde and alliance would each reach the same point at the same time.
AV isn’t really a race, and alliance have 3 entrances where the choke point horde always go to where the hill is.
I have seen alliance premades dropping down in the gy and down the hill in av to get around the horde choke point where horde isn’t even defending because horde sucks at defending capped gy/towers in north and often times tunnel balanda while alliance hold that gy or tunnel alliance at the gy outside the bridge where smart alliance are running around and getting kills.
Strategy is probably what needs to be more updated for alliance, because they are definitely better at holding choke points then horde are do to most of them being better at healing.
Horde walks into your territory, we fight under your towers, we fight your defending NPCs and we fight you. Not to mention the run back if we die, where you can instant spawn at SHGY back into the fight.
Alliance is just bad at PVP, unless they can premade.
looking to blame your losses on something other then yourselves…very sad.
This is the thread you’ve made. This is how dumb you sound.
It’s not the map folks.
I did an AV the other day and there were 17 alliance bots just sitting in the middle of the map.
It’s not the map it’s the 40vs23 issue.
Alliance que times mean it’s more effective to que for AV and lose in 5 minutes to farm honor than horde que times which makes actually pvping the better honor farm.
Thus the bots were born and infest the ally ques
You’re about to drown in a river of unjust tears.
alliance wipes horde @ balinda all the time it still doesnt fix the ibt/ibgy choke problem where 15 horde can hold back 40 alliance for an hour because ally cannot trap horde in their respawn like horde can do to alliance at shgy
yep, I agree 100.
I have played for two weeks as alli in av, not on this toon obviously.
I just wanna say that it’s common sense that the map is in hordies favor. Our teams have tried every tactic out there. Most alliance are not peon pvpers that are in pugs. I will say that most of them try and give it an honest effort. Some do give up after our first wipe but its not enough to kill the game for us. We also report afkers asap and get em out and usually people are cool they just leave the bg if they know we are going to lose, so they get replaced really fast.
The map is the issue, because no matter what we do… we just can’t be in 3 or 4 places at once and divide our forces and that is pretty much what is needed in order to at least get some decent honor. BUT, here me out, we did win two games, but it was a rush and also I think stealthies were back capping too so that makes a big difference.
I’m not the type of person to give up, call me bull headed but I will keep trying.
One game we got IBgy and we did make the mistake of kiting the LT’s but at the same time most of our team was there so they dropped fast. We were choked in there defending for a good 15 minutes and no one back capped sh so when we lost it, it was a big moral loss to start all the way back at SP.
Another game we fought I suggested dont get sh and get sf instead because it will give us some type of lead instead of pushing us back again and we did manage to get it and hold sh for a small time as well and we managed to get to IB but we got wiped out fast because it’s just too easy for them to defend and offence for them is just a pure joke since we have open gy’s by our base that allows them to hit from every angle. Now they can say the same thing about FWgy and yes it is true, I think the real crap hole reason is again how close they are to FOS and IB and also our choke at SH. However, at SH I have asked all alliance to step back and lure them to our bunker with archers, it truly does help. But no one wants to be smart about tactics and thats just what I’ve seen. I mean maybe they are all burned out like horde was when facing premades. I get it.
I don’t know, I think its rather depressing for the people that wanna be random(pugs) in games and have fun with a challenge, it just kills it for those folks and I’m one of those players.
Most of you have brought up a lot of great points and I do agree with most of you that I think its a mix bag of things , but I’m sorry every single game we lose?

One of the Alliance’s lines cuts directly through Balinda’s bunker. Even in premades when the whole group was autorunning at gate, full mount gear and mounting at the exact earliest moment Horde could still intercept at entrance to SF pass. If it was true that the caves were equidistant from mid then you would at least ONCE see Horde and Alliance meet in the exact middle of the map. Which never happens. If Alliance go straight through without stopping, they will pretty much always encounter Horde in the northern quarter of FoS, shortly after passing Bal’s bunker.
And yes, AV is not simply a race…but the time it takes for each faction to reinforce fights is extremely important, and Horde generally have a relative advantage there (they can reinforce their offense faster than Alliance can reinforce their offense, and same for defense).
I don’t think Horde are typically getting hit by towers when approaching SHGY, and there usually aren’t many NPCs involved (you’d have to intentionally pull the Balinda LTs for them to be involved). And sure, SHGY is closer to respawn…but even if Alliance wins there they still have to push out and mount an offense at some point, while fighting Horde spawning pretty much in FoS…which Horde don’t have to do because they can cleanly cross FoS at the outset. If fighting Alliance by SHGY was really such a disadvantage Horde could always just not do that. They get to pick.
