A main quest from 1-120

What I would love to see in Warcraft is a Main Questline that spans from 1-120 and upon completing it gives the player some awesome stuff.

The questline could work something like the war campaign. You start the quest at level 1, and every 10 levels continue the questline. At the end of the questline at max level one character per realm gets a full set of gear a few points below raid finder level so something like 365, a mount and a title and achievment for completing it that expac.

That would be cool. I would like the option to follow one long continuous storyline.

That would be something pretty awesome to see. I would love to finish a grand epic quest line like that.

+1

So long as it’s not required for anything it would be a good addition. WoW has always struggled with leveling, especially in earlier expansions, feeling like a bunch of garbage filler.

That said, it’d be a bit awkward to implement since expansions are largely stuck in time bubbles. 1-60 zones are still in the Cata timeline. I guess they could just run with it and have the earlier ones take place in the past, as in, the same time bubble they relevant expansion resides in.

Add a class flavor to it and I’m in 200%!

Could be really cool if done correctly, so long as it were optional.

It would be a great way to provide the storyline of the game to players, especially to anyone new.

Doesn’t LOTRO have something kind of similar to that?

Needs to happen.

Loop in some raids and dungeons.

I like the idea, so have a heart

Yes, this too. I miss class specific quests.
One of the reasons i enjoyed legion so much was the class halls and all the class specific quests.

I told them to update the Paladin quest line to give us the Blood Knight title we deserve!!

You want an overarching story-line, complete with class flavor, and relevance through “time-bubbles” to keep compatibility in an expansion notorious for it’s horrendous story telling?

I think it would be cool. The author in me loves this idea, even without the rewards. I just don’t trust the current writing staff to pull it off effectively.

I may be alone on this, but I’d rather see a racial flavor to it. Seeing how the different races feel about their faction’s performance in wars/raids etc as well as opinions of other races (even same faction) would be pretty interesting.

Blood Elves historically HATE trolls…yet find themselves allied with them.

This would be a massive undertaking, I would think they would need to completely overhaul the leveling experience to make it happen. SO…probably never gonna happen.

Cool concept though.

You could do all of that…

OR…ooooooooorrrrrr…

You could make Heritage Armor sets available only to toons that levelled min to max and call that your grind reward.

wait a second…

So does Guild Wars 2 and Final Fantasy 14. It’s a questline that you interact with for a couple missions, then go level, come back and interact, and go level more.

It’s not that different than the War Campaign we have now.

Would be cool if you centered it around classes since there isn’t a real “story” to make. I mean, I guess you could make up a story, but I’d much prefer it to be centered around your class.

Learning/training yourself up. Might add a little more sense to progressing as you learn from some master teacher or something. Class quests used to be a thing, but I think they could be expanded upon even more for this.

Monks do this, they have the repeatable quest while leveling that is supposed to represnet exactly this.

I like it all except for the rewards. No gear just cosmetics maybe

It could provide flying once you hit 120!_
