[A] Looking for Casual (Pref Weekend) Guild

Hi, all!

So, I’m looking to find a nice guild to play with, hopefully one where I can join and that be the last guild I ever join, haha. I have played on and off since BfA’s launch, and I’ve tried playing other MMOs, but for me, none of them compare to WoW. So I would love to be able to find a guild to join and just enjoy this wonderful game with. I’m looking for something pretty casual, probably, as I just don’t have the time to put into raiding hardcore anymore. I also don’t even know that I really want to play shaman, as I tried to power through playing ele because I love the class fantasy of shaman, but it’s just not enjoyable anymore. Basically, I’m looking for a chill guild to hang out in game or in discord with and just have some fun. I tried to be more elaborate about what I’m looking for lower in the post. Thanks!

A Little About Me:

I’m 26 years old, and I have a history degree, and my area of focus was Roman and British history. I wrote my senior thesis on The Fall of Rome, for those of you who may be history buffs. Outside of playing video games, I’m a die hard sports fan. Baseball has always been my one true love, and I’m a huge Braves fan, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more and more fond of football as well. I’m a Falcons fan (RIP) and UGA fan. Also, with the inception of Atlanta United, I’m becoming more and more of a soccer fan each day as well. I play all sorts of games, though MMOs are definitely my favorite genre.

My WoW History:

I started playing WoW back in the end of TBC, and I didn’t hit max level until around the middle of Wrath. I was really, really bad at the game. My first raid was ICC, and I raided as a death knight with a bunch of irl friends. We weren’t very good, but we cleared ICC, so that’s cool, I guess. During Cataclysm, I joined a huge PvP guild on my server. I was on Kil’jaeden at the time, and wPvP was quite big back then on KJ, so I spent most of Cata doing wPvP as well as some random BG shenanigans. I also did normal DS on my mage. When MoP came around, I main switched to Holy Paladin, which turned out to be my favorite spec in the game. I spent the early stages of MoP trying to learn holy pally, and when SoO eventually came out, I joined my first “hardcore” guild. The guild was not established or anything, but we got a solid core, and I became an officer pretty quickly. We cleared 13/14H on 25man, but because of the length of SoO (we started a bit late) and attendance issues, we took a break as a guild until WoD. In WoD, I switched to shadow priest for some reason, and I really didn’t enjoy it that much, so it was back to the Holy Paladin. With some of my guildies from MoP, we formed a new guild for HFC and I was forced to quit raiding right after we killed Mythic Gorefiend due to a night class that I had to take. In Legion, I have been playing Ele Shaman, though I haven’t raided much. I took a total of 14 classes in my last 2 semesters of college, so I didn’t have very much time to raid. That said, I did join a casual guild that raided weekends in NH, and I cleared 10/10H on my shaman. I’m now at a place where I feel I can find the guild I’ve always been looking for, so I can get back into raiding.

What I’m Looking For:

  • A guild that raids 2 nights per week. I can maybe swing 3, but 2 is preferable for me. I currently cannot raid Tuesday or Thursday nights, unfortunately. Because of that, a Friday/Saturday night guild probably works best for me, but as long as you don’t raid Tuesdays or Thursdays, I should be able to make it work.
  • While server doesn’t matter much to me, I would like to stay Alliance. I simply can’t afford to transfer and faction change, as I will likely do so with a couple of toons considering I am a bit of an altoholic. That said, bonus points if your guild is on Sargeras Alliance.
  • A guild that is active outside of raid times. I have been in a lot of raid logging guilds in that past, and that’s just not for me, as I play the game a lot outside of raid.

    • I’m sorry this has been so long, but I just wanted to be as thorough as possible because I know I’ve been hopping around guilds a lot, and I don’t want your guild to think I’m just going to join and leave or anything. I’m really interested in finding the guild that is the best fit for me in terms of personalities and philosophies, as opposed to best fit in terms of raiding, if that makes sense.

    The Knights Who Say Ni on Kael’thas/Ghostlands are looking for more to help round out our roster moving forward in BFA. We are progression focused guild who’s goal is to progress as far as possible within a limited raiding schedule. We are looking to recruit like minded raiders who cant make a weekday raid schedule due to work or school. Most of us work odd schedules or have families and other outside obligations that limit our ability to raid during the week, but one thing we all have in common is the drive to progress in this game we enjoy. Many of us have done high end progression raiding in the past but due to changes in our day to day schedules could no longer make the standard weekday raid schedules.

    Optional Raid: Friday 9pm-12am Eastern (6-9pm Pacific)
    Main Raid: Saturday/Sunday 2-5pm Eastern (11-2pm Pacific)

    2/8M (sub 5% zekvoz)

    RDPS: Mage, Lock or Hunter
    MDPS: Warrior, DH or Rogue
    Healers: Holy Pally or MW monk
    Tanks: Tank with viable DPS offspec

    I am pretty sure if it weren’t for Alliance preference, we’d be the perfect guild for you, so i’m going to put my cards on the table :slight_smile:

    Seaghyn is a guild of young-ish adults ( crud, is 30 still young-ish? ). We have jobs, houses, and fuzzballs that belong on /r/aww. We have a diverse community of playstyles, from folks who just log on to raid and do raid-support activities to hardcore achievement hunters. We have a few PvPers and are interested in adding more, but we don’t have an RBG team.

    We raid Fridays at 7pm PST/server (10pm EST) and Sundays at 3pm PST/server (6pm EST) for 3 hours each.

    For an idea of our social environment, we chatter on discord a lot, but guild chat is pretty quiet. We’ve got a few folks who will hang out in voice, and we’ll hop in for M+ or other organized activity, a quick ping is all you need to get something going any time of day or night.

    As for the last guild you’ll ever join thing, I’m fairly biased, but for the most part, we’ve lost… 2 players in the last 2 expansions to anything besides quitting WoW entirely.

    We would welcome you at (Moms Love Emojis) Eldre’Thalas-Korialstrasz. We raid on Friday and Sunday nights 8-11pm server time (Eastern.) We’re looking to recruit lots of people, not just for raids but for everything you want to do.
    So we’re currently 8/8N and 5/8H Uldir, but we also do Mythic+ and some PVP, wpvp, bgs, etc. We’re mainly parents and other adults, so we’re pretty mature and we understand life happens.
    There’s pretty much always someone online, not just during raiding, although a lot more people log in during raid hours (what can you do?)
