The disparities in wealth does weird things economically though… auction house prices can be inflated and controlled when you can buy the entire supply and drip feed it back out at hyper inflated prices because of your addon/botting.
Depending on the breakdown of how the gold to token ratio worked out, it MIGHT be cheaper to buy gold, convert it to tokens, then to Blizzard cash and into a boost.
Long way around sure, but if it were cheaper that way, I could see people doing it.
You can dominate some random legacy item, yeah. You’re not gonna corner current materials, ever. There are way too many people involved. I looked yesterday at the AH and saw over 400k of a single herb on there, so please tell me someone is going to buy that entire market and “drip feed” the supply at inflated prices.
Nah, people just sell stuff at the regular price then. The new AH kind of makes it more impossible, to do what you suggest.

Ah, so their post is just an opinion. Well, then, so is mine. Why are you upset by my opinion, and not the one I replied to?
But to humor you, the “opinion” that paid carries “do not affect the game in any way, shape, or form” is logically inconsistent and ridiculous. Obviously, at the very least, having paid carries being available affects the game by people utilizing those paid carries to gain loot or achievements.
I hope you are happy now. I am not, having to state such a blatant fact to appease you.

I gotta be honest I havent used the new AH (grew frustrated with the old one)… I forgot they even updated it.
Pricing mounts at 5 million gold though is a bit extreme… for the same reason we have a stat squish maybe a gold squish would be good for the game.

Probably because that response is pretty lacking and rather sad.
How does other people getting carried for loot, or especially achievements, affect your game or anyone else’s? It doesn’t affect the race for world first and any clears after that are pretty irrelevant, and someone getting carried for loot that’s trying to join your raiding guild will be pretty transparent to figure out. If they even try to join one at all since they already got what they wanted.
