Also monks use chi, which is just spirit, which is needed to be a shaman. All living things have spirit, spirit is also considered to be willpower as well. Goblins have a high stat for that.
All in all, Goblins in wow are the most adaptable race in the game. They will find a way to use everything in their own capitalistic way and it works.
A lot of people hate that about goblins, like how can they be shamans if they don’t care about nature. Well, the elements themselves hardly care about nature as well to the point they try to destroy each other, constantly. But that is how they are easy to deal with for goblins.
A goblin priest? They know light exists, they know it heals and burns things. They know people will pay good money for that type of ability, welcome to Capitalistic priests. Not far from some pastors I know. Shadow priests? Even better, you can mind dominate people.
Yeah, I think people often confuse the druid’s respect and worship of nature with what goes on with shamans. Not really the same. The elements are mostly destructive forces with strong wills. Of course, they would make a pact with Goblins.

Aye, people forget that since vanilla, elements been making pacts with mortals all the time. Dark Iron Dwarves in their city was all ruled by elementals and they gave out fire power to their worshipers.
Orcs as well, the elements had their own will and when the Orcs started to go full on power hungry fel and soul sucking, they cut their power from them.
Goblins just has…insurances…to make the elements…comply with said contracts. Some might consider it dark shamanistic but it isn’t using decay like true dark shamans…it is using mechanical totems with a way to juice up the power they get.
Also why my shaman is a goblin. They’re tinker shamans.

Right? Ragnaros has been a thorn in our side for how long?
And in Cata, we had to help Thrall put himself back together when the forces overwhelmed him in a destructive way.
Ongoing theme in WoW that there’s only balance in a shaman and the elements when they even each other out. Otherwise, there’s earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions, tsunami, etc.

It just makes them feel funny but it works fine there is at least 1 void elf paladin.
Aye. It gave birth to a paladin order as well. Worship of ragnaros. Faith in something greater then us gave us the power to harness the holy light.
Goblins are good people! I mean who DOESN’T want to get rich? A girl gotta get her bag, you know?
We’re not Gallywix!

even in darkness, light can shine.
but in all seriousness, corrupt societies churn-out good people all the time. usually they’re the children/spoiled-children of rich and-or corrupt high ranking officials. …or they’re part of the underprivileged parts of society, and want to improve the bad parts of it.
that aside though… there’s no excuse. goblin paladins should be a thing. goblins like gold, a good portion of paladin armor is decked-out in gold, it just makes sense.

Paladins worship the Light… Goblins? They worship something else…

Goblin priests are like televangelists:
“For just 5000 gold, the lord will bless me with the power to heal this boy!”

Sorry paladins are only available to races filled with the Light… like Blood Elves and, er, Zandalari Trolls.

Paladin, Shaman and Druid are all classes which require extra real-life work from real-life people getting paid money to implement for new races, because all three classes have unique, race-specific visuals (Paladin mount, Shaman totems, Druid racial forms).
There is no longer any lore reason why any race cannot be any class (what with Lightforged Draenei warlocks and Void Elf holy priests), and the ONLY reason these classes are not fully opened up is because of the additional work required that blizz doesn’t want to do just yet. Stop trying to find deeper reasons, that’s literally the entire story.
