A gm just threatened to suspend my account for opening a ticket

tl;dr there is a bug and this is the first time i got an answer that it was infact a bug. this was after 6 or so responses from ai telling me to go to wowhead to make sure ive completed steps/etc, and to submit a bug report (i dont work for blizzard im not a game tester).

i cant post a screenshot, so heres the plaintext copy and pasted.

First and foremost, and as a player myself, I can fully understand how you are feeling right now since you are in posession of a Excessively Bejeweled Curio but can’t make any sort of exchange with Kari Bridgeblaster.

Now, I was doing a deep dive in your logs, and I was able to find out that there was a recent Bug which allowed Excessively Bejeweled Curios to drop from the Liberation of Undermine on “Storymode” difficulty, which was not intended. This Curio should only drop from Chrome King Gallywix on either Normal, Heroic or Mythic difficulties and only the ones dropped on the aforementioned difficulites can be exchanged with Kari Bridgeblaster.
With this in mind, and I understand how tough reading this must be, since this drop wasn’t intended, the Excessively Bejeweld Curio that you have in your posession is, in fact, not usable at all and, as such, you can safely delete it.

Once again, I understand how you are feeling, but I would like to encourage such a dedicated player like yourself to do your best and try and obtain the Curio though the appopriate difficulties. I’m sure that you’ll be able to do so in no time!

How many times have you contacted them after them telling you it was taking care of, considering it harrassment at that point?

They’re aware of the exploit/bug. They’re “fixing” it. They’re sick of people opening tickets about it. They’re giving you a warning not to open another about it. Would you rather them just ban you immediately?

Make a bug report. GMs can very rarely do anything to address bugs, it is only under very specific circumstances that they are able to intervene.

It wasn’t. You got 6 form letters from 6 GMs.

You received 7 responses on a matter that is not part of a GM’s duties or capacity to resolve. At a certain point, you need to accept the answer and stop reopening the ticket.

They finally told him on ticket 6 that the fact that he had received this piece of gear was a bug.

Again, they told him this in response to ticket 6. And this appears to be the first time he was told that the item isn’t supposed to work. He’s supposed to find this so awe-inspiring that it should make him want to grind much, much harder and longer.

You sound like you’d be happier not playing videogames at all, so you don’t have to worry about lesser mortals who want to be able to use the gear that drops for them and don’t think your opinion is worth listening to.

Ah the famous passive agressive mentality of the GM’s. I called it out in a review of a ticket of mine. I’ve assumed I was flagged ever since but I’m probably making it up

You got responses from GMs, who are not at liberty to give hints about how items work in-game.

after you received an answer repeatedly, because you didn’t like it.

No, you’re being informed that spamming GMs with a resolved ticket that has received 7 answers will get your account penalized. You not liking the answer doesn’t matter, this is not a matter a GM can help with.
