Was there anything wrong with the 9.0.1 system, even if it was a ābugā? Sounds like it was just some nice quality of life. The keyholder still has to build a group and successfully complete and time the key. This change really bums me out as someone whoās finally to the point this season where Iām getting a 15 in my Great Vault.
Yes, heroic is 213 and max M+ is 210, way too close. Then all youād do is spam +15 key for full 210 and thereād be no difference.
I believe people should be punished for failing the key because it makes you perform better next time. It teaches you mistakes and corrections in certain parts, ect.
If you think there is some sort of secret strategy to plan around for most of these affixes youāre wrong.
Tyrannical/Fortified server no purpose, no mobs should get 30% damage/20% health increase on top of key modifiers.
Just like bosses donāt need 30% health buff, that can break certain encounters and murder keys, Hakkar was a prime example of that this expansion.
Storming has no business in this game, an affix that punished tanks and melees and hinders positioning and can completely cause you to miss an important interrupt, stun etc cause youāre being tossed into the air because 5 cyclones spawnā¦
Same with Spiteful, why should I have to worry about mobs after I killed them? Itās not strategy itās just pure laziness.
The only thing you plan around is prideful, and as a tank if you mess up one thing, the whole dungeon can be a wrap
āCheck out this huge post where we ignore the fact that people are flat out choosing not to play for entire weeks because we put incredibly stupid affixes in the game.ā
Remove affixes and more players will play M+. Affixes serve nothing but to annoy players and remove fun from M+. M+ will work just fine or better without affixes. Scaling with key level is more than enough to keep dungeons challenging and players busy.
That sounds like a really good change!
Definitely appreciate the quick response on this issue.
Itās always good to see Blizzard quick to respond to something as often people get easily disillusioned.
I believe this change is better balanced, but itās not addressing the underlying issues that thereās a stark decline on people running keys on Tyrannical and bad affix combination weeks. Next week is Tyrannical, Bolstering, and Storming and every person I talk too just say its an RBG or alt week, and they donāt plan on running keys that week. I am just going to do a bunch of +14 keys and not even bother grinding for Valor.
Tyrannical and Fortified just need to go in my opinion as well.
I mean itās mostly the same names at the top. The top 20 runs is made up of like 8 teams.
In 15ās and above (timed only ofc), Hunters are more popular than Mages and Boomkins, and Rogues are less popular than WW or Unholy DKās and are almost beaten by Warlocks, SPriests and Havoc DHās.
In regards to Healers, Shamans are the most popular followed by Resto Druids followed by Holy Paladins, which have a smaller share than Priests if you factor in both Holy and Disc populations.
They wonāt do that because it would expose the errors of massive inbalance between dungeons as certain ones would only get run for mdi, <the pretense that a game that sells achievements for real money, could ever rise to the level of a sport> Can you imagine an NFL player who paid money for his all time pass record by paying the quarterback to pass only to him. /lol
Just like there has never been nor will there ever be a 1v1 arena. The content flaws would become painfully obvious and one class would always be massively prefered and win over others.
Iām glad I never enjoyed timed run games and never wasted time in mythics. This nerf even after being forced to back off somewhat is an absolute nerf and itās obvious this game is attempting to legitimize e-sports, not by creating competitive, fun, and fair content, but rather by driving any other playstyle away from the game.
Good luck getting the revenue to fund a prize purse from a game of sponsored teams. May be candy crush can support wow after they merge their studios under the king banner.
