If you play this game there is no choice but to accept bots rmt etc, its an unfortunate point of the game but it is absolutely not policed.
There are tons of alliance population servers on classic, but almost all of them are pve servers - why would a pve player roll alliance in tbc? why would any player?
The evidence is them quitting in the first place
I agree they have to start from scratch but before the mages there were an army of hunters, thousands of them and they just farmed anything they could farm, mostly tribute, or rogues with their brd pickpocketing, instance farming herbs/boxes with an army of bot rogues, the goldfarmers will find a way in every single expansion you ever create, theyâve always existed when there has been a buyer. The mage gold farming is just the current classic biggest problem.
Nice, a 54 paladin and a 52 paladin, so you fit right into the âbehindâ category and you quit a long time ago, wow iâm getting really good at figuring you guys out, its like scooby doo, you pull off the mask and you find a new guy who didnât play in 16 months who is suddenly really interested in classic but only fresh because uhhh yeah umm uhh i want fresh
It is an annoyance but Iâm more bothered by the intentional abuse the player base embraced so heavily. It smothered the spirit of the game.
Not the the knowledge of boss fights and what to farm because its an old game, but they knew of the warts and exploited the crap out of them. Its a bummer and I no longer wish to be a part of that social experiement.
The alliance have a gigantic pve advantage in classic wow and we all know it, the alliance population would be decimated in a fresh tbc situation, you know this as well as i do, idk why you try to pretend like you donât
Its bad for the game, period and the only reason these people within this thread want it is because they didnât play classic and they feel like they are behind, theyâve all said as much.
I know that the alliance is getting seal of blood but that is not the reason why people play horde, they play horde because the meta classes strongest pve racials are horde (orc hunter is the best hunter, orc warlock is the best warlock) and the meta pvp classes have the best racials too (ud priest, ud rogue, ud mage, ud/orc lock)
Which is why over time Blizzard slowly adjusted races to be more on par with each other. Getting Seal of Blood and Vengeance on both sides is a big step as it did not come until Wrath.
Fresh Servers or not, this will not change that current meta issue. People are already changing factions and classes. Remember the old term Flavor of the Month? That was still a problem back in the day, people would still drop everything to roll the best spec/class combination to be âtop dogâ for that Phase.
Now with the Boost, people can make this switch very quickly. Itâs unfortunate, but theyâre doing that on progression servers as we speak.
Well you are probably right that people are rerolling, but the effort to reroll horde is a lot greater than the effort to just choose horde to begin with on your new fresh server, the original incentive to choose alliance is gone and you have no infrastructure, alts gold etc to worry about. The fact people whoâve been playing alliance for the best part of 2 years will dump it all for some green orc because he does 5% extra pet damage and has 25% stun resist should show you where a fresh server would go
And so reveals the truth about you, youâre only here to beat down the thoughts and opinions of others.
It doesnât matter what stage someone is in Classic, level 10 or level 54, they are allowed to want to start Fresh. Iâve seen countless people posting on their 60âs in this forum saying how theyâd rather start Fresh, including content creators, streamers, etc. The types of people that want Fresh are vast and many.
You cannot invalidate their reasons, as hard as you may try.
Everyone is allowed to want what they want. They are allowed to want to start Fresh for ANY REASON WHATSOEVER and they do not need your approval.
So stop thinking you have any right to talk down to any of them.
I think the hype of a Fresh Server will begin fostering the community. When we got news of our RPPVP servers we worked very hard to bring in the balance and Grobbulus hovered at a pristine 50/50 for a very long time.
It takes some work, but I do believe with some effort, we will be alright.
RP players are kind of different, it may be possible to foster a 50/50 community if it only existed of them because those players tend to play the game for different reasons than the main servers do, when Iâve played on RP realms prior Iâve seen like 25x as many night elves as I would on a normal server (especially warriors), if you go to like Whitemane alliance you will see like 2800 human warriors in Stormwind but youâd probably need an RPPVP fresh for that.
I suspect if actual fresh realms were posted again that weâd need a diverse range of them, multiple types of server on each coast probably, then weâve kind of diluted an already diluted community, its kinda hard to figure out how this would work logistically
I have a feeling a lot of people will be coming back for the excitement of Burning Crusade, and many will want to be on established communities with day 1 guilds with structured officers and game plans, etc.
Now would be a great time to advertise and encourage fresh blood in, especially to the servers in need of balance.
its really hard to recruit people to small unbalanced servers (especially pvp) and especially alliance, I donât think I could in good conscience recommend anyone roll on kromcrush alliance, Iâd probably tell them to go to whitemane or not to play alliance at all
Everyone knew what to expect once Phase 2 hit with the honor system.
They decided to min/max that to the point of camping people of the game. Of course, PvP server, it happens, but I think that was a first for any PvP encounter in WoW.
I played on Emerald Dream in Retail and that was the world pvp server. It never got that bad as there was a constant ebb and flow of attack and defense.
The only redeeming quality this server has is that the horde side are not particularly well organized so you can actually fight them off, this server has no powerhouse horde guilds despite being 65% horde which might be appealing to some people. I really canât see alliance populations on any servers growing in % though with TBC. The thing that swings the tide is the human EMFH racial and that may never come, If I was not locked to this server by ways of my alliance characters I definitely would not play alliance in TBC.
Iâve always enjoyed Perception and Shadowmeld. Once Shadowmeld can be used in combat, its PvP potential rises as you can use it to vanish out of spells or cancel the cast.
A lot of people also like being outnumbered or the underdogs. Could be a fun incentive to fight back the Horde in that regard.
