Yeah, definitely something going on. Of course Blizz wonât tell us anything, so all we can do is guess. But adding ray tracing and directx12 to a 17 year old game isâŚinteresting. So long as they donât add the horrible new models and animations.
good thing they suck at not leaking things lol
Bump because still no fresh :â(
Fresh when
I donât get this move. Blizz needs to focus on fresh, new content that doesnât suck and bring players back or it is done. Classic should focus on Wrath, not the two we already had. It is a waste of time and resources. Fresh is what they should have done when they first released their old content for a second time. Releasing it for a third time is weak and makes them look like they are giving up.
Would take relatively 0 effort to have fresh vanilla and eventually (once tbc is over) fresh tbc servers on an automatic patching cycle that eventually dumps your characters onto a final patch server(s) whilst simultaneously working on and releasing WotLK classic / releasing new games.
â Weâre also working on something for WoW Classic players whoâve told us theyâd like a chance at a fresh start, and will be sharing more on our plans soon.â
This will more than likely be Vanilla Classic, but I am quite interested to see what they plan to do.
If its just a new server, it will appease those who like fresh starts.
If there are no counters to the exploits of Vanilla/TBC, then it will be the same.
Holding my breath but not getting my hopes up. I hope everyone gets a little bit of everything, though.
The thing that intrigues me the most about a fresh server was the mention of âoriginal AVâ in the survey. If they did a 1.5-1.7 AVâŚIâd find that hard to pass up.
Whenever I get out⌠they pull me back in!

To the WoW Community,
Over the past few weeks since we shared an update, the WoW team has been focused on the immediate futureâboth for our people and workplace, and whatâs next for players too. As a part of that, the entire team came together to ask: What are the biggest things weâre hearing are getting in the way of your fun, and what are the most impactful changes we could make to WoW today to fix that?
Shadowlands Update 9.1.5 will be going on the PTR next week, and a lot of what youâll find in it is the direct result of your collective feedback. It includes long-asked-for changes to make it easier to swap covenants and conduits, updates to make it so you donât need to repeat covenant campaigns on alts, new character customization options for some races that were lacking them, and many more changes to help you play the way you want.
It also has updates to improve the game environment for our community, including additional changes to some content to better reflect our shared values, better visibility into the impact of your in-game reports of harassment, and more serious penalties for people engaged in disruptive behavior.
We hope youâll see something from your own 9.1.5 wish list when we post the patch notes next week, and weâll keep listening, refining, and building on that as we continue PTR testing and development of whatâs next.
For our Burning Crusade Classic players, weâre excited to let you know that the first major content update, Overlords of Outland, will be going live soon. Starting September 15, youâll be able to take on Prince Kaelâthas and Lady Vashj in a pair of iconic raids, engage in a new season of Arena combat, and more. Weâre also working on something for WoW Classic players whoâve told us theyâd like a chance at a fresh start, and will be sharing more on our plans soon.
Creating World of Warcraft is truly a collaborative effort between the people on our team, across Blizzard, and all of youâand as we build, iterate on, and talk about whatâs next, we hope we can demonstrate our commitment to making Azeroth the best place it can be for everyone.
