Not going to give the name, but there’s a fresh Vanilla server launching in about 11 hours. Never played a private server in my life, but since Blizzard refuses to make a fresh one…time to give it a shot.

fresh servers is change…
Fresh server is change how? They released fresh servers frequently throughout Vanilla, TBC, and even into Wrath. What’s an actual change is NOT having fresh servers.

Well because people want fresh servers, with no transfers allowed. Also those servers were up to date with the current patch, people are asking to start from scratch as well, another change.

No, they’re too busy protecting their future investments by removing targeting /spit from the game.

I don’t think they will do it until they’ve sucked all the money they can first from transferring off dead servers. Also getting little more from boosts still I’m sure.
They will wait till it’s almost dead then do fresh to try to grab some subs back is my guess.

well nothing happened with the old president. Maybe the 2 new presidents will see the good in fresh and a new start to wow.

I think that is a fair assessment. Other than trying to save some face with this disastrous corporate implosion going on the only thing that motivates Activision/Blizzard is money. If and when they see new and fresh servers as a viable way to squeeze a little more subscription money from the last of the old-school RPG crowd is the only way they would consider setting them up.
At this point though I would hesitate to actually start a character on a new, fresh server as there is no knowing how long they would be up for or if enough people would remain to play on them. I feel that most of the old-school RPG crowd have already left for greener pastures.

So apparently there’s some new Classic era PTR on the launcher. People are assuming this might foretell an impending fresh server. Whether or not that’s true…who the Hell knows. But something to consider.

With the results of how they handled Classic servers, they’re going to try to scrape everything they can to hold onto folks.
But if its the same Classic as last time, just ‘new’, we’re just going to see more GDKPs and more mages being rolled.
