I only jumped in on this thread because of some of these guys saying, “Look at all this support we have” . It blows my mind these players truly think it would be financially good for Blizzard to create fresh servers.
They should be advocating for Blizzard to take a few dying realms on classic Era servers that are already in existence and get Blizzard to restart them. Have any players that do not want to be rerolled back to level one a free xfer off by a certain date. After date then server would be wiped. This would not cost as much on blizzard as the hardware and software is already in place.
They don’t realize Blizzard probably pays around $100,000 a day to run the servers. Add more and from a business perspective it would be foolish. There wouldn’t be enough new subs to cover those additional costs.
