Don’t care about dungeons or raids.
An ideal Classic + would be to take from the roots of Warcraft 3 and start adding elements to the game that resembled the rts.
Theaters of War where you constructed barracks, watch towers, altars, etc requiring players to use their professions to achieve it, or grinding out resources to fuel your factions war efforts which you could see in real time as orc peons and human laborers constructed the buildings.
Let Guilds bid to lead it and choose where to construct what, and have multiple of these war zone/theaters so many guilds could compete. Small areas, large areas, etc for guilds of all sizes.
Then I’d like to see some UO elements such as custom housing, at the least housing for guilds to make guild halls.
More factions:
-
Neutral (Night Elves, Blood Elves (Kael’thas))
— Elves would still be hostile to orcs and trolls, possibly dorfs too
-
Evil (Forsaken, GNOMES)
-
Horde (Orcs, Tauren, Trolls)
-
Alliance (Human, Dwarfs, High Elf loyalists, the rare but occasional NON-EVIL GNOME)
-
More character customization and Dark Iron, Wildhammer, + Troll sub-races.
1 dungeon/raid idea:
- The Emerald Dream - an always randomly generated dungeon/raid
Depends on who you ask.
To me Classic + would be a mix between early TBC and Vanilla, without server transfers, or cross realm, 40 man raiding, new raids, no flying and i guess new worlds. No quality of life enhancements. Tweak classes? Debatable. They can tweak it, but pures should always be superior at their role than the hybrids. That’s just rpg 101.
one must wonder about the depravity of the devs responsible
I’m just going to highlight this as either trying too hard or seriously lacking perspective.
Anyway, I’ve seen arguments for Classic+ (many of them good), but basing it on, essentially, “Classic sucks” is a new one for me.
Until you factor in that all classes are beholden to their specs regardless of being a hybrid or not; additionally, all classes carry unique utility, making any given role greater than tanking, dps, or healing examined in a vacuum.
The healing Priest will never pump out the dps numbers of a pure while they heal a raid, neither will an ele shaman ever hope to keep a tank alive for more than the few casts that oom their mana bar. The only blurred line in Classic is tanks vs dps because Warriors are busted and the meta is threat > mitigation; ironically, TBC solves the hybrid tax problem while simultaneously issuing a hybrid tax to the tanking role.
The hybrid tax has always been completely stupid in a game that forces role specialization regardless of baseline skills, and which also requires all classes to utilize their unique utilities in addition to their selected spec.

A new avatar writing three disagreeable responses to my days old posts in one day? I am not the type who feels flattered, but I appreciate your attempt. I am glad that my words resonated with you. Your curt words come with the brief whimsy of parlor parlance. I hope you have more material, because I am looking forward to read more of what you can manage to drum up.
They need to give 60 servers that are not fresh, and New TBC servers that allow char copy or Xfer. Personally if it was copy i would play both Classic and TBC, if it was Xfer i would re level for TBC, if its a upgrade to TBC and fresh classic servers goodbye sub

Very few.
What is classic+? It’s retail classic, period. Nobody wants current Blizz trying to remake vanilla with their new mentality, the people playing this are doing so because they don’t like the direction retail took.
Regardless of who would or wouldn’t quit- it’s a fact that Classic+ was never a possibility anyway.
Let’s see, Blizz has two choices.
A- take a huge risk on Classic+, put in all kinds of man hours and money on making a new product that players may or may not want
B- release TBC, no effort, huge profits guaranteed as it was their second most popular xpac, and then later do WotLK, their biggest xpac- again, huge profits, no effort
Even the most business inept person in the world could see what Blizz will do from a mile away.
0% chance of it happening, it’s genuinely baffling to see anyone honestly thinking classic+ was ever even a faint possibility.

I think if you really want classic+ you need to hope and pray the Warcraft IP is sold or a competent dev company is hired to design it.
Like I totally agree, look at retail and the trash that game has become. You’re asking the people who made that to be responsible for making Classic+.
There’s no way that could turn out good. Classic isn’t even their game!
No, the only way is either World of Warcraft 2 or some kind of reboot funded by Blizz or sold by Blizz to someone capable of making an actual RPGMMO.
If this team touches it, it’ll turn to crap.
Also, it took them like a decade to finally cave to pro Classic crowd so IF they even decided to do something like that it probably wouldn’t be until years from now. And it would still be hot garbage.
Final edit: not to dis your hopes for Classic+ cuz I’m totally with you, I would absolutely play the mythical classic+ but it just won’t happen and you shouldn’t want it from this company. Trust.

If the impossible were to happen and Classic+ actually got developed, it would be highly amusing to see about 60 days after launch how many people that were pleading for Classic+ now begging for the re-re-release of original Classic. Probably due to the grass in Elwynn having been greener in original.

Why not give us classic+ after TBC? seems better
Because that would be a “someday” promise.
I’m not saying it would be bad to remind players what was by allowing them play through it, and then show players what could have been with Classic+. That could also work … someday. You see what I mean?
I Can’t wait to see all those toxins dissolve in the middle of the arenas
still wow classic most fun game ever!
