A FFXIV Player's view of the WoW Player's Mentality

I mean I had to teach my husband this basic concept also.

When he started speaking for the group as a whole, stop trying to tell others how to play, and able to give advice in the right way. He has had far less drama, and players was willing to listen.

It is a lesson this community should learn.

Please dont force your lessons on others. Thats reportable

We do seem to have a lot of them over there though. Unfortunately. “you don’t pay my sub” isn’t a meme for nothing after all

you entered a group activity and aren’t doing your share of the work. then you throw a little temper tantrum when strangers don’t talk to you like a princess.

you are a spoiled brat and deserve a swift kick in your behind.

You sound like an insufferable baby. Someone telling you to interrupt because you are failing your job and the entire group is suffering for it is not harassment. you act like a cop. Or one of those super litigious people that sues for emotional distress if Burger King doesn’t give them enough napkins. I would hate to run into you both in the real world and in the game world.

Reading comprehension problem is showing again. Might need to work on that.

Oh no doubt. I would never put WoW players up on a pedestal as a shining example

That would be a Khaerin move

Why do you want WoW’s community to be more like FFXIV, when the communication mechanics and game culture are so different?

FF XIV better not force its communication or culture on us. It’s clearly reportable.

REPORTED FOR NOT PUNCTUATING THE END OF THAT PARAGRAPH!

There thier, it’ll be ok, there happier over they’re so their probably not going to be here long.

sits back to watch all the people in the thread twitch over that atrocity of a sentence

This dribble is just silly. I don’t care if you think I’m a baby. Like I said the only right you got is to kick. Anything else nope.

My experience with the FFXIV community was through a passive aggressive message I got from declining a blind invite to a guild and by watching someone in chat ask a question about the game. While trying to do one of the god awful fetch/delivery quests.

The responses to the question weren’t helpful to say the least, asking their questions to the trolls in wow would have gotten them friendly/more useful results.

It can’t. The communication is set up differently, and the culture comes from the game and its gaming community culture as well. Both things influence each other. It’s not even comparing apples and oranges, it’s comparing apples and Reuben sandwiches, and asking why your apple doesn’t have cole slaw on it.

I was being sarcastic and continuing what this thread has turned into a bit of a meme.

LOL! Poe’s Law makes it hard to tell these days.

REPORTED!

:scream:

Oh no!

Wow classic fixes this issue, and is the only aspect that is better than retail. The community there is great, and I’d recommend playing classic if you want that sense of community.

EDIT: Who ever flagged the OP are *** holes, they have a valid point.

Its a rough world I agree wow sucks as a community wish it was more like ffxiv . Here I am trying to stay relevant to be on my raid team and I’m doing everything by myself. Can I do it sure, but queing for dungons alone even when their successful isint fun. My ffxiv would jump to help me to do something in a flash or make a day to do it. My wow guild says keep up or get kicked…and people wonder why I don’t treat wow players as friends except maybe one guy on my friends list who is arguably the best player I’ve ever met.
