If it is in a pug settings not really it does not change. You only have that right to judge others based off a guild settings and the players you play with are not doing the standard that guild has set out for its players.

Before Vanilla Wow I came from a PVP game called freelancer. You couldn’t outgear anyone so skill was the only determining factor
The clan I was in, we were some of the best pilots in the game. How we would recruit would be to secretly play with people and test their personalities skill level was not considered. Our philosophy was “We could teach anyone to fly but we can’t teach good attitudes”

Wait…so you like MMO’s and doing things with people but you don’t like joining guilds where you can do much more with a guild, but you also don’t like single player games.
Guilds are communities where they help each other first over helping someone who isn’t in a guild. if you want to experience a community I suggest you join a guild of some sort that fits your play style and go from there but playing solo is strictly a you thing and not the game.
if you choose to play single player well then your game play will be single player.
As far as the community attitude…well it’s not just wow that has toxic players, they are in every game, it’s not just a wow thing but if you expect people to carry you through dungeons or raids and not put much work in then yes you will get people who will say hell to the no.
Overall, WoW experience is what you make it.

I mean you can say I am wrong, but does not change a thing. Realm Reborn is the number 1 mmo for a reason. They don’t put up with that.

I can only say “please don’t stand in the fire” or “we need to interrupt that ability” so many times before I start getting frustrated. Now I personally never get toxic, if I get to the point that I want to say something mean I just leave, but there are some players that simply can’t be helped no matter how hard you try. I don’t condone the horrible things some people say, but I do understand why people get frustrated.

hopefully nothing because if i have to group to play, I’ll quit…and so will a long list of other players who dont WANT to guild up to play the game.

Go join a guild if you want to, but other than that you dont need to ‘try’ to do anything else…you can join a guild the day you start playing this game. Just look for one in the guild finder.
ive joined two large guilds and enjoyed being part of them while I was…but they didnt pressure me to do guild crap.
If you want classic ‘community’ I suggest you go play classic. Many of us dont want this game to be like classic…if we did, we’d be playing classic right now instead of retail

The WORLD is an MMO, guy…and I dont want those people out there helping me or getting in my space any more than required.
This game doesnt revolve around PvP…if it did then yeah…i need other peoples participation.
I can quest without your help…the game had better stay that way unless theyd like to lose our subs.

Well no point in arguing over it. Pay for other players sub if you think you have a right to tell them how to play. Unless it is a guild with set rules. You don’t got a right to tell people anything. Even in a group you made. If you ever did that with me. I would report you so fast your head with spin. Got to hold Blizzard to a high standards that Realm set.
