"A Dying World" Refuses to Appear for my Alt

I’ve been running BFA on my alt trying to get the legendary cloak in order to run horrifying visions and Ny’alotha on a Horde character. The quest “A Dying World” will not pop for the character no matter what I do.

This character is a level 70 hunter, he is not on any of the intro quests of Dragonflight. I have disabled all addons, reloaded, logged out, relogged, and gone from Orgrimmar to Zuldazar and it still won’t show up. The Earthen Guardian has no quests for me.

The game allowed me to unlock world quests, and it let me unlock Nazjatar, including giving me an extra action button to use the Heart of Azeroth, which I absolutely do not have yet, to open the portal back to Zuldazar. Magni popped up to give the quest “Essential Empowerment” after this, but I am now completely stuck as I cannot proceed further having never unlocked access to the Chamber of Heart in the first place.

I am totally stumped as to how to proceed from here. I did also check the flag and it shows as false, so I definitely have not done the quest and chucked the necklace or anything.

Is there anything else I can do to trigger the quest? Did I mess up by doing things out of sequence?

E: Also unsure why it posted under an alt I never use. sorry! I promise the hunter I’m using for this quest is level 70.

Since you mentioned Orgrimmar I assume you are referring to your Horde Hunter on Illidan?

From what I can see you started the Dragonflight intro. I believe you’ll need to complete up through To the Dragon Isles!, you are currently on Expeditionary Coordination.

Once you do, “A Dying World” should be pushed to the character.

That was it - thank you so much for your prompt response. I apologize! I was poring over my quest log so hard trying to figure it out I missed this - I honestly thought I’d already done that on this character. Have a great day.

I completed the BFA intro on an alt while also on the DF intro, and the quest never automatically showed up. Where it did show up though, was on an NPC outside of Dazar’alor, near the mailbox. The NPC was called Earthen Guardian and I had to pick up the quest manually. So just in case you don’t get the quest automatically (this was an Evoker which may have affected it), that works. I assume there is an equivalent Alliance NPC in Boralus, I just haven’t tried over there yet.
