A courteous word about LGBT representation

I also think “f@g” or “groomer” is a slur.

Cis just means “non-trans.” It comes from the Latin prefix that is the antonym of “trans,” it literally takes less characters to type than “non-trans,” etc. Just because you don’t know a word doesn’t mean it’s leftist indoctrination or whatever!

Sidebar: Are you insinuating that this should be reinstated?

Yeah I’m not really following that distinction.

I think it’s fair to be skeptical, and most likely the ‘real’ number is fuzzy for a few reaons:
(1) Projected statistics like that aren’t 100% accurate. I view them as ball parks. So maybe +/- 5%.
(2) LGBTQ Identities aren’t as clear as other identities in the US, they get ‘fuzzy’ really quickly.

That said, the incidence has been consistently around the 8-12%-ish range across multiple studies. So that “real” number is likely somewhere around there. The takeaway for me is directional as opposed to fact.

Edit: It’s also really dependent on how you identify LGBTQ. Most of these are self-identifications (ex: I take a survey and state I am one of the options). If you go for “not 100% straight” then that incidence would likely be much higher.

One is actually a slur used against the community, to which we have begun to reclaim.
The other is said like a slur but isn’t one. It’s more an accusation against our community to make it more acceptable to attack us.

Not in Religious, or Private schools which are allowed to freely exist. I don’t know of any LGBTQIA+ schools but you can find plenty for the other ones listed. Kinda weird, isn’t it? Also Prayer wasn’t removed, MANDATORY prayer was but even to this day schools keep getting in trouble trying to force it onto students or shaming them for not doing it.

How many athletes got in trouble for kneeling during similar acts?

That tells me you’re more right leaning than left, as anyone ‘in the middle’ always is.

It’s also against ToS. enjoy your vacay day

Listen, I don’t hate anyone. I just observe things and realized over ten years since this entire thing blew to mass proportions that I don’t like the group. They’re rude, they are easily triggered, they shout at you for small incidental words, it’s tiresome. And most of all, they say stuff like

“You’re going to accept us anyway or else.”

Everytime.

Your overused generalizations aren’t helping. You’re adding to what you claimed to observe.

This is kinda why I don’t like them, I guess. It’s so hard for “number of people who identify as LGBT in x sample” to accurately represent anything.

I don’t care. Enjoy your time spent ranting about being oppressed on a forum occupied by the most privileged people (regardless of identity) in the history of the world.

Ah, I can see why people are rude to you.

You’ve basically written us off, and act as such. No wonder people react as they do.

So anyway all of that is your own fault, and you should probably do some serious self-reflection.

Man they really neutered the Centaur this expansion.

Au contraire, I am a left leaning libertarian. What you’re seeing is someone that doesn’t like extremists. Not someone who is espousing centrism.

Nothing I said was a generalization. Speaking from actual examples you can find in either this thread or the previous ones over the similar topic of Blizzard pandering. And everytime, the same group of people did the same thing.

One that dislikes LGBTQIA+ people? I doubt that. :3

This you?

People have been nice to me, too. If only you were capable of it. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m grey ace. Not sure why I would dislike other people like me.

I’m capable of kindness towards people who have earned it.

I’m sure that alone should speak volumes.
