Now that every class can be warlocks (which I’m in complete support of since ur main character can be outside of what is normal for your race) it’s time to open up an extremely fun class that is limited by disgusting elfs only race.
From this point on any lazy anti (all race all class) talk is invalid since it’s possible to be a lightforged draeni warlock.
We actually don’t even need the legion to become a threat again to make them possible you can just as well use the threat of the void to give reason to new demon hunters (if you actually read up on the WoW books it’s been talked about that the legion was after the void as the “big threat” so having warlocks undergo demonhunter training to better suit face to face combat with the void is very reasonable.
And yes the only reason I’m advocating for this is because I want to rp as a troll shadowhunter and since warglaives are only available to dh it’s either open up weapon restrictions so others can use warglaives or open up demon hunters to other races.

My guess is DH then Druids are going to be the last thing they add.
Either shamans are next (because totems are easy) or paladins are next (because sprinkling glitter on an already existing mount is easy.)
DHs will be third because they’ll need a unique demon form for each race then it will be Druids because they will require 5 unique animal forms for each race. I wouldn’t be surprised if Druids ended up being an expansion feature for the one getting released in 2024.
I really want to see Kul Tiran DH’s, I don’t want to play one, I just think it’s funny.

They would have to redo other race movements to do that for the vaulting and other acrobatic moves. Not going to happen, at most void elves have that rigging.
I agree paladins are easy but shaman totems have a lot of details and I’m going to bet there solution to demon form for new races would be a sort of blanket demon form that all non elf players share except for orcs or eradar forms.
Sure, totems have detail but they are stationary objects, which I wouldn’t think are hard to implement.
The order will probably be:
- Paladins
- Shamans
- DHs
- Druids
Shamans and DHs might get switched but this order is what I’m putting my money on.
And lucky for me zandalari have the same rigging as well, they are just different sizes night elfs.
While it would be confusing lore wise why draeni and orcs wherent the next dhs the easiest way they can add two more dh races would be to add void elfs and zandalari since they share the same animations and would complete a checklist of “one small dh one tall dh race” per side.
The zandalari wouldn’t be true dhs they would just be demonics in there more since they are the physical warlock lore that empower there strikes with entrapped demons.
That’s not it works. Hazzikotas said all races will be able to become every class. It’s not about sharing a skeleton and whatever unintelligent crap you just said.

Idk I feel like now that warlocks are out of the way we are finally in super lore-restricted territory for some of these. I don’t think every race should be able to be druids & demon hunters…this is when it starts to get super goofy.
I think all the classes that should be wide-open to every race ends with warlock.
You’re probably right. If they decide to open up shamans this would be the expansion for it like something towards the end

As a personal opinion, DH is actually one of the few races I wouldn’t want to see as an option for all races, and that is simply because the story behind how a DH is made, how they have gained thier fel energy and thier reasons for joining Illidan is very specific.
((I also don’t know for myself other instances of race/class combos flying hard in the face of very specific lore))
That said, I have always advocated for more options for people. More options breeds more creativity and more fun - and because this is largely an asthetic choice, it doesnt really matter to my game play, or how I enjoy this game. If they end up allowing new races to take on the DH mantle, so be it!
We can all stand around comparing notes on who sacrificed the most .

Aren’t the existing demon forms just recolors of each other? Been a while since I played my DH, and even longer since I played a Nelf one, but I thought they were the same in different colors
I thought both belves and nelves turned into an eredar with an elf head.
I don’t think that would work for every race.
(Haha what I’m I talking about. I’m sure Blizzard won’t care about making other races of DH look right.)

Void elf, nightborne, draenei and orc. I hope those become DH’s eventually. I don’t even care if we get all races, at least open it up to all elves and races from Draenor/Outland.
A simple starting zone for new DHs could be made, set during the time after Night Hold when Illidan is back. Just have him greet his new Illidari somewhere on the Broken Isles before sending you to your faction capital. Just like allied race DK’s, short and sweet, talk to the Lich King and go on your merry way.

DH’s should’ve had more race options day 1. Opening up other races for Warlocks is great and all but not allowing it for DH first. Shows how much they don’t care.
