Sir, why do Warriors have access to Single-Minded Fury then?
They can fully play with 1h or 2h if they desire.
I can do the same exact thing on my Monk if I wanted to.
In fact, my Monk is dual-wielding but is mogged to the mage tower tank staff.

because the warrior dev is having a contest with the rogue dev to see who can smoke the most amount of crack, every warrior player i have encountered strongly detests the fact that smf is a talent and not just a baseline warrior ability or just a transmog option
I don’t know if I’d go that far. (Me when I mained Rogue in DDO during launch.)
I definitely prefer dual wielding by far, though.
I’m cool with it being a mog option. I’m not cool with trying to revive 2h Enhancement.
Maybe I’ll just cope that the change is for a future test in a 4th tank spec that also uses Stormstrike. A major leap in logic. Heavy copium.
To be honest I don’t know why SMF and Titan’s Grip isn’t a split talent decision.
I don’t want to derail this thread too much but I honestly have NO clue what they’re thinking with these talent trees.
Because it has to be somewhere on the tree, which would force all builds to take it.
Even at the start of the tree, it would eat a talent point for basically no purpose.
Best case? You just have a passive that works differently based on your weapon setup.
Talent trees are no stranger to “You just have to take this” type of talents.
like, what are fury warriors just NOT going to take rampage?
There are so many talents on the trees that are obvious filler that you just have to take to get to something better, you can put it there.
Yes. But we shouldn’t be looking to add more of that, and especially not in the form of passives.
Honestly, yeah.
They did it for Legion Artifacts.
I just don’t even know why they brought talent trees back because what everyone does is just go to like icy-veins and ctrl+c the meta build and use that for whatever they’re doing. It’s not like we have any agency here.
I think these modern talent trees are just an unmitigated disaster though because there are so many filler talents and it feels like I either taking the obvious “You have to get this” talents or just picking between two near useless things. Like I remember the moment I threw my hands up and got frustrated was when I ran across the talent on the rogue tree that was like “crippling poison slows target by an additional 10%”. I was like “who tf cares”. I just KNOW I’m gonna get some meta rogue player who tells me that’s the best talent in the damn tree but it’s SO BORING.
I edit my build frequently, depending on the specific dungeon or raid encounter.
You control+c more than once, good for you I guess.
They aren’t. They’re restricting it to 1 handed main hand weapon. Basically you can use it with a shield now.
I don’t even remember the last time I copy/pasted, because the guides online do not account for all content. That would be a ridiculous list to upkeep for Wordup (the only guides I even trust to begin with.)
I’m probably close to the builds he has out right now, but I make changes as needed that just make sense. I don’t need a guide to tell me when PCT is useful or not, or whether or not I’m going to get much value out of 2 earth shields.
It was always drilled into me back in the day “Don’t pick your own talents, just use the build guides.”
If they would only bring back the two hand Windfury procs and let the proc proc another proc…
I think just opening the option and making the spells work differently between a two handed weapon and one handed weapons like other specs have done would be awesome. I understand it would probably not be as good with damage overall compared to dual wielding but having the option would be nice in case one handed RNJesus didn’t smile upon you or if you wanted a more bursty gambly playstyle.
yea it sure would be a shame if a spec couldnt use their spec’s identity right away… im glad theres definitely not a spec that forces you to level up 3 times using the wrong playstyle for that spec before you get to play it. totally not happening with survival hunter
I’m forced to take Light of Dawn on my Holydin to access the Holy Shock talents and other useful ones. I haven’t used Light of Dawn since maybe Legion. I despise being forced to use a point for something I’ll never, EVER use.
I heard single minded fury is causing zero issues for warriors and warriors are designed exactly like enhance shaman
Great point
There isn’t a bursty gambly playstyle with 2h
