In the last week. My account has been blocked for no reason. Then it was lifted and now it’s banned. I wrote seven letters to Blizzard. The service you get is just endless AI replies. If you can take the time to look at my appeal. You’ll know how ridiculous these days are. After all, I didn’t spend money to chat with AI.
Well, seeing as this is overall vauge, so can’t say much. But I can say that the appeal team use template replies. They’re not going to have a debate on your account action, nor can you talk your way out of it either.
The email you receive with the account action should state the general reason such as a social violation, hacks, PvP non-participation, etc. Blizzard doesn’t action accounts for no reason. What it sounds like is the original action was removed, but then other reports caused another account action.
If you’ve sent in seven appeals and the action was upheld, I’m afraid that might be the end of your appeals. That would be getting pretty close to a violation of the Customer Support Interaction Policy.
The replies you are getting are templated replies, not AI. An actual Game Master reviews the appeal and selects one of their templates to ensure consistency across replies. You’re either told the action was:
- Overturned
- Upheld
- Reduced, or
- Sent for further review
If you can tell us what the email said, we might be able to advise you further.
The good news is that you’re right. They don’t use AI, so you didn’t end up chatting with any sort of AI.
The only way to appeal is via tickets.
Now, the fact that it was overturned does not rule out further account actions. Meaning, let’s say that something caused an account action that was detected two weeks ago and that one got overturned. In the meantime, there was further evidence one and a half weeks ago leading them to reinstate the account action. That’s totally possible.
In the end, all you can do is submit your appeal until you’re told that further appeals may lead to additional account actions…that’s definitely the time to stop.
Keep your appeals short and sweet. It’s not a time to plead your case, just to ask that it be looked into again.
I was referring to the email you get when an account action is applied. It would say something like:
Account Action: <action_here>
Offense: <offense_here>
ssue ID: #105082025
A Game Master resolved your ticket, and left the following response:
Hello there,
This is Game Master Spycpepper. Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your concern and I hope this message finds you well.
After a thorough review, we have overturned the account action. You should be able to log into the account now.
Feel free to reach out to us again if you need any assistance. Until then, take care.

I wasn’t referring to the Game Master’s reply, I was referring to the email you get when an account action is applied.
This is the reply I got yesterday. As a result, it was banned today. I don’t have any game behavior
What email did you receive regarding the ban? What was the type of ban? Hacks/cheats, Violation of Terms of Use, Social (chat/spam), Buying/Selling gold…etc.?
Again, I’m not referring to the reply. I’m referring to the notification email that is sent out when you receive a silence, warning, suspension, or account closure. It would look similar to what I posted previously:
Account Action: <action_type>
Offense: <offense_type>
It’s the offense we’re asking about so we can guide you and possibly help you understand what may have caused it.
Action(s) Taken: Account Closure The Battle.net account has violated the Blizzard End User License Agreement. As a result, this Battle.net Account and all associated game accounts have been permanently closed. As the owner of this account, you are responsible for all actions associated with it. We will only overturn penalties if there is evidence of a compromised account.
Alright, so it was a total Battle.net closure. That typically only happens if something serious was done. Although one of the Support Forum Agents may be able to shed a little light on the subject, it isn’t guaranteed; especially for a Battle.net Account Closure.
If you’ve appealed seven times and it was all upheld, there isn’t anything else you can do.
If you can. I hope you can check all the replies. It did not uphold the original judgment. Just yesterday. It was overthrown
The only Blizzard employees are those posting in Blue text. I’m just a regular player, just like you. The Customer Support forum is a player-to-player information desk with Blizzard moderation. They do occasionally chime in, but it isn’t guaranteed.
Thank you for your help
Well, it wasn’t for no reason, but yes it was initially overturned.
It was actioned again, and when I looked at it, it’s obvious you’ve used bogus info when you made it. That may make getting this one back difficult. You are required to use your legal information on an account.
Anyway, the appeals process is the only way to have this re-reviewed.
