Hey I’m Sanct, I’ve been rather good at this game in the past and decided last minute to hop back in for Shadowlands.
TLDR: I am a former hardcore raider/gm/officer/raid leader looking for a 2 night raid team (ideally 5-8pm to 8-12pm EST but that can change if the fit is good!).
Just settling back into things as I took BFA off but I’ve held many top parses and look forward to playing at that level again. I am a mature and intelligent player and look for a guild of the same.
I’ve been raiding on and off since Everquest at a high level. I was in a top end guild at the beginning of WoW and have mostly done raid leading since.
Some quick highlights:
In Cata I ran a B team for a competitive guild and ended up with the #1 hunter gear score in the world for a couple weeks (which was more entertaining than anything).
For WoD I got together a group of RL friends and I ran that 10man and managed to end up US 22nd by the end of BRF before burning out (we were raiding 5 days a week essentially accidentally, just enjoyed hanging out).
Most recently I ended up randomly joining some people and eventually helping to raid lead and officer in Legion, the group had some weak links and it was very frustrating at times but we managed to get a decent amount of content down. Personally during that time I became the best raider I’ve ever been, managing some 100% parses (retconned to 99%) and excelled at mechanics to the point of near perfection on things like Maiden of Vigilance where in the literal thousand+ attempts I only had one slip up (proud of that). I took BFA off so I’m sure I’m a little rusty but I know I can be as good as anyone and really enjoy striving to be the best raider I can be.
I also have 6x challenge master and really enjoy the challenge of mythic plus.
I am a dedicated student of the game, I study everything I can get my hands on, logs, players, rankings, sims, etc. As a former raid leader/officer I know preparation means everything and I do everything I can do be as prepared as possible (going through boss fights mentally, prepping websites and etc on my other monitors). I like to think of myself as one of the best hunters in the world and I’ve played hunter (and ranger before in Everquest) for more than 20 years on and off at this point. I used to spreadsheet obsessively for hours after raids, then spreadsheets became websites and last was simming with raidbots to tweak out everything I can from my character. I’ve done lots of raiding in my life and I think I know what it takes to excel at content and my character, but I also know that it is constantly changing and look forward to learning and min/maxing in the future.
