having AI for groups in m+ is one of the most disgusting ideas I’ve heard this week and should never be entertained even ironically.

If you don’t like the option, then simply don’t use it.
Why don’t you just not play M+ if you think that we should have full AI party groups
This is the reason. I like tanking, I wont do it in WoW for PUGS. Its guildmates/friendslist or follower dungeons.
The toxicity of this community in group content is notorious.

Or, maybe some of us got tired of healers and DPS moaning and whining to go faster, so we dipped and did our own thing. When something is finally tired of being beaten down, it eventually rises up and leaves. Now, I only tank for my guild.

Not long. I suspect they’ll die off because Blizz has placed almost all the responsibility now on healers including keeping the tank alive

Most healers asked for challenging content.
But blood dk would like a word first.
I tank for guldies and friends. Won’t be running much pugs as it seems I’m in high demand for my guild atm. Plus, when I run with my guild, I know that I’m going to have a good run. Reliable heals and dps.
Tank nerfs have been whatever really. Just forces me to play smarter and I enjoy that.

Agreed and tank all the time in premades
It says something about how weird high M+ in DF is that DPS players are using tank trinkets, and tank players are using DPS trinkets.
Is this the same for LFR?
I am leveling up my bear tank. Honestly don’t want the toxic crap of doing group content with it. I love the playstyle of bear but putting up with people who want everything 5 minutes ago…nope.
you can’t create similar levels of challenge with solo content.

False, I played Elden Ring, Dark souls trilogy and Sekiro and more. You can absolutely create a challenge while playing solo.
It is time to bring over Warlock meta tanks and Shaman tanks from SOD.

It can be challenging but it will be in no way comparable.
If AI companions play flawlessly, then that’s reducing the element of failure down to pretty much zero.
If AI companions mimic real players, how happy will you be that you wipe because of that?
Brann’s AI is a pretty good example of a real player… more or less.
Someone in raid doesn’t do things correctly, so you have to compensate (if possible) or die.
That element will not be present in solo.
