I don’t know why people like that hero talent, is basically the old build of just spam heart strike like crazy and I’m not a fan of making vampiric blood a dps cd.
This won’t happen so long as “the route” is part of “the puzzle” of a timed dungeon, which is a ridiculous concept but here we are. They aren’t going to give you an AI tank that pulls big or skips trash.
I know we’re talking about solutions for tanks here, but like… they’re not going to do this unless a soloist of any role can take advantage of it.
Now, if folks want their Mythic followers and accept that the route the AI tank takes will be “atrocious” next to what live players can do, and accept the ceiling that comes with, then there’s a conversation to have.
They’re all inside Delves obviously. What playing SoD taught me is that the player base will just do whatever is the most efficient slop, even if it’s the most horrendous content.

PuG content is short on tanks for the same reason it’s short on healers: because everyone feels entitled to take a dozen alts into queued stuff as DPS, every week.
Cap peoples’ ability to take up spots on their DPS alts, and things would correct themselves in a hurry.
But that’s heresy, because everyone wants their DPS alts to get carried, and it’s unthinkable that it should be otherwise.

This might be the craziest thing I’ve ever heard. Did you perhaps forget that games are for fun and, so long as you aren’t unreasonable to your fellow players, there isn’t any kind of social obligation, nevermind to “take your turn to do the role no one wants to do, and for good reason?”
The problem is people treat each other like crap, not that “not enough people do their civic duty” or whatever.
Sorry man, not interested in a fight, but I’ve never seen anyone approach this longstanding problem with such a suggestion. There’s a very good reason it’s “heresy.”

As long as everyone insists on their right to queue on a dozen DPS alts regularly, there will always be a “tank/healer shortage” in 5-man queues.
I know that nobody wants to accept it. But it’s the truth.
It’s a rather reasonable suggestion. It’s not that people need to ‘take up their civic duty’ but that some players utilize far more tanking resources than they provide (if any.)

Overwatch implemented that system where you can’t queue as a DPS every time and it did wonder, not only people became more aware of different role responsibility but whole community grew in terms of skill and awareness. The same could be applied to WoW and it would make wonders. People would realize that tanking and healing isn’t as easy as copy pasting a rotation from WoWhead and start blaming the less played role every time they mess up. Anyway I’m back to making my own non toxic M0 group for funs

Most experiences are good I would say. But every so often you get a group that die and start blaming the tank. Or you get a DPS that feels the need to pull packs of mobs
Don’t forget that if your raid group is more than the minimum size, you might end up needing to off-spec in raids, meaning more gear you need since you never want more than two tanks, even in a 20+ sized raid.
That’s actually a pretty good idea. Maybe I’ll just start using my blood dk as a main and do this.
All you trying to claim the community is why we have no tanks. We treat everyone trashy. Not just tanks. Tanks treat people trashy as well. It’s role with smaller numbers to fill means more competition among the applicants for groups.

Yeah you know the math there adds up 3x1 per run so naturally more dps complain about tanks. All in all it evens out. Also most people play multiple roles. People claiming tank shortage is blizz fault or the community treating them a certain way is a moron
