You would if you’d ever had a customer facing job… Representing companies when things go wrong is never fun. Being able to do it from a computer without any direct contact or obligation to continually communicate with your disgruntled base is honestly best case scenario lol…

I keep reading how this should never have happened because of x, y and z. Can anyone provide an example of a company that pushes out software updates in their MMO that has 0 bugs, 0 issues, each and every single time without exception? I’m genuinely curious if there are any game devs that has never ever ever released a patch for their MMO that has never had a single issue?

Then you should know that communicating via email etc is MUCH easier than dealing with a problem while having customers constantly telling you inconvenienced they are.
