Boomkin makes up literally 20% of the rbg ladder. They may slack a bit in 3’s but absolutely dominate in rbgs.
Warlocks too. Destro or demo in rbgs absolute Champs. Even if you want to say ele isn’t the worst caster spec in 3v3, there are niches where those lesser specs excel. There isn’t a single area where ele excels.
Even affliction has shadowplay which only loses 3v3 matches to jungle and rmp.
Even frost mage before 9.1.5 crushed the AWC in 9.0 as MLD.
Yes but in RBGs you rather play NF which is garbage in Arena. For RBGs you play Versa > Mastery > Haste while in Arenas you go Haste > Versa > Mastery. So technically you need 2 sets of gear.
In EU RBGs aren’t really that played unless it’s a week like this one where you get more honor. I made this NA account as I want to play some RBGs and NA was always better and more active region in this bracket.
Anyway if someone plays Warlock in RBG it’s Affli since Demo does no damage outside burst and Destru is too easy to shut down.
Affliction has literally 1 comp while 90% of Shadows prefer to play with Warrior, WW, Mage or that Kyrian Boomy. In 2s Affliction is absolutely gutted by Hunters.
I wouldn’t be so sure with this “crushing” singe guys are the best MLD players world and they still didn’t get to the final. Frost Mage and Warlock are definetely better. We got first 3k Warlock this season Russian - Dreamnyasha playing Frost MLD but he plays Necro not NF like Chan.
Ele is still bottom damage. Top boomkins are venthyr for rbgs cuz it’s literally the highest damage and switching covenants takes all of three seconds.
I think ele needs some extreme love. At least to put it on par with spriests. Or else those betterspecs need some nerfs. It’s not even close to ww/fire/arms/bm/feral/ret/boomkin/shadow
And I cannot imagine anyone disagreeing with that so either those specs are too strong and need nerfs OR ele is too weak and needs buffs OR we just accept ele is meant to be a low tier spec. There’s no other option. It’s one of those three choices.
Maybe you have to work on your damage dealing then. I’m rarely bottom of the meter.

But PvP is not doing damage to a dummy and Ele is cappable of doing good damage even when targetted. Maybe watch Zeepeye, Swapxy or Smexxing to see how to play it. In EU we have plenty of amazing Ele players.
I watch them all actually. The damage when they top meters is them constantly free casting while yhe mage tanks & kites double melee and cc’s . Obviously when they’re spending so much time on non damage and the ele is left to solely focus on damage he can put put higher numbers.
I’ve also seen zeepeye go 100-0 through Astral shift to a rogue mage hardswap
Yes but if you watch Zeepeye carefully he is always top of the meter.
Riiiight… cuz he is pve’ing damage while his teammates handle 95% of the cc and eat 99% of the spell pushback and stops

It is much worse than fire/arms/ww/ret/bm/sub/feral/shadow.
If you think it doesn’t need improvements then you must think those specs all need nerfs
Yes I think they are mostly broken.
Fire actually got nerfed but for some reason only Triune’s tooltip changed.
Arms is to strong defensively.
WW is just deleting people in 1-2 globals with lucky procs.
Ret should either get it’s burst nerfed or healing.
BM. Just remove Craven Stratagem.
Sub. I don’t think Sub is broken by itself. RMP is broken but with Mage nerfs it might get fixed.
Feral outside of Jungle isn’t really a big deal. Main issue is that they are too tanky. If Craven gets removed Jungle would be way easier to deal with.
Shadow is extremely good. In matchup vs Ele Psyfiend is too strong since you have to keep Earth Shake for it as you can’t use Flame Shock on it.

Did you even read 9.1.5 patch notes? Most of them got nerfed but not enough or in the wrong areas.

Shay doesnt understand Ele… hes made this clear time and time again, i’d really disregard any information he brings to the table.
How about we wait until the PTRs, and then the tweaks to the PTR builds… and then the final reviews before we lose our minds over something thats been datamined and not play tested?

I’ll give you an example of Blizzard efficiency. As early as PTR in Jul. 2020, the community brought up the fact that
1: Static discharge talent is very bad and nobody will ever use it
2: Pyroclastic shock is very bad and nobody will ever use it
3: Ice strike talent is very bad and nobody will ever use it
