I’m just tired of getting one shot (on my enhance shammi ) by people that are at sub 1400 brackets with 40k+ health. There is no counter play to someone who can do 20+k dps in a burst window. It’s not about getting good, because at that point there is nothing to be done.
They are not necessarily better than me, they just have 20+ ilvls on me.
It’s a learning experience to lose to someone near my i lvl/skill. Not so much otherwise
I don’t really see the problem, the only thing I can understand is that PVP gear you get with honor should be better. I also understand the problem with fully geared players in random battlegrounds makes it not fun to play. If you don’t want PVP gear to be good in PVE add a PVP only stat to PVP gear easy fix. I would actually enjoy that so when I am raiding with my guild I have a reason to go other than just helping out and giving all my gear away. Everyone complaining about it’s impossible to gear alts for PVP it’s not true at all…there are so many ways to earn conquest every week from weekly quests, and randoms. If you can’t get into arenas or RBGs because of your gear go take some time and run heroics LFR or even normal CN to get your I lvl up. I don’t understand where you guys are seeing all these people getting carried, I think it’s much more likely to run into a fully geared PVE player in lower ratings and again that wouldn’t matter if you just add a PVP stat. All it takes to get a 200ilvl PVP gear is earning honor in a rated setting, so you don’t even have to win to get one piece a week. I would be extremely disappointed if they took away iLVL for higher ratings, it removes half the reason to even push rating and that’s not because I want to “one shot kids in random BGs” I don’t even play randoms on my main. That’s like saying mythic gear should be equal to heroic, the reason it’s not is because mythic is harder just like higher ratings is harder so you should be rewarded. I think what it comes down to is people don’t want to put in any effort to get things anymore… and if for some reason a higher rated player wants to tank his rating for a carry or to just one shot kids and I/my team gets wrecked, am I pissed? Yeah but my reaction isn’t this game isn’t fair and I need help It’s man I need to work harder so next time I beat that guy. So add a PVP stat to PVP gear and make all gear equal in random BGs and call it a day.
It seems they will probably keep the same rating system they have now for incentive but just make all of those conquest pieces scale to the same ilvl (232 was the example given) and have a similar thing to t2 weapons from cataclysm.
This would keep participation up and allow for pvpers to still use their gear outside and still supplement their choice of You should be better doing all forms of content Seems like a perfect fix to a system that is so close to fixing certain problems we had with the wod gearing system.
Equal gear in Arena (or at least equal-ish) would be a welcome change and it’s been far too long.
All the PvPers I know want to see which team can outplay the other; not which team can outgear the other.
Players will also be more motivated to play their alts, which keeps people entertained and subbed longer.
If you feel strongly about getting these changes put into the game then don’t just read and nod your head; please post your support so that blizzard can see, and keep this near the top of the Arena forum for more exposure.

Blizzard intentions were good… They wanted to make you have only one gear, and with it, do any content you want.
But in reality it not worked at all. All they made is force players to go get gear in the easier content to do it. They sadly don’t see each content has it own difficulty and own progression, and it only makes people go get gear where it’s easier for X reason (like M+ or RBG) and be superstrong in other contents, basically, ruining it.
For who always like play arenas it was especially frustrating because you now have a ladder totally unbalanced and you facing people with a lot more gear than expected because they are first doing other easier content to get their high ilv gear. Then you are forced to do the same if want keep competitive.
So… It’s not more about be good, learn, improve your skills. Is more about have mood to do something you don’t want to do, for long time. To grind your gear.
People are still going to be hard stuck at their rating… we will have forum posts about x, y, z still… this community wants handouts… yes it is hard to gear up alts to your main character… it is an alt thus it should be behind your main… I wonder what the next complaint will be ?
No need to say that. There’s no reason we can’t have all pvp gear to scale to max gear in pvp while also having the same ilvl upgrades we currently have.
exactly what would be the point after this change, for people to buy boosters when they can just pve for better pve gear especially with valor tokens coming back? you think people are going to really buy boosts for challenger/rival titles?
exactly. it would be so little, it would be almost unnoticeable. and even IF they do, there would be a more better chance of a victory since both sides will be on equal gear.
I like the pvp gearing system we have now. I dont feel forced to do pvp even though I’m mainly a pve player. I actually like being rewarded by all 3 forms of content and can use all the gear I get in pvp and pve.
I’m all for closing the gap of gear in pvp so skill is the deciding factor. I just hope I can still get 213 gear from pvp and it stays 213 gear in pve
