Gear’s PVP ilevel should not be rating locked. I understand if they want to keep the rating system to upgrade PVP gear’s use for PVE reasons, but in PVP scenarios, the playing field needs to be more even.
Honor and Conquest gear should have 1 PVP ilevel each (like 213 and 226). Keep the gear upgrades for PVE.

Blizzard devs, blues et al do not read these forums. Sure, keep “bumping” it boys. You’re basically talking to a wall at this point. SMH… it’s actually unreal how naïve all of you are in regards to this.

Feels like it’s been ages, we bump those.
Couldn’t agree more man. The whole introducing sneaky extremely grindy playmetric systems that started in BFA is doing exactly the contrary of what these devs want. If you’re forcing players to spend 90% of their time optimizing/getting up to speed, it kills the fun and a game becomes a chore. Go 20-40% intensity on these systems and drop the timegating so the chores can be fun again and people get to just be up to speed and play. This would increase the desire for alt play and enjoyment of the social aspect of the game overall.
I mean, this is probably the most important forum topic so far this xpac. If you’re not bumping it/speaking on the matter… you’re doing it wrong.

I have posted this on forums that many times and normally i get trolls responding saying “Gid Gud” or debating that gear means nothing and skill is everything in an expac where divine toll one shots somene and rogues one shot from stealth or boomys scream out for an aura mastery in rbgs for convoke and then want a pat on the back.
but apparently even though i said the exact same thing as you regarding gear… it went ignored.
And he is still wrong. Take the same player on the same class and they are going to do a lot more damage on a 226 than on a 200.
I agree he’s wrong, i’m just saying that he wasn’t talking about pvp nor does he care about pvp.
It doesn’t matter if he’s talking about PvP or not though. They like the power gaps, they believe the power scaling from 200-226 isn’t as bad as we perceive it.
You know what this means? All the complaints and suggestions to address gear disparity will be ignored. The separation of PvE and PvP gear looks like a done deal as well.
9.1 PvP will have some of the worst participation of any PvP season with how badly their new gearing/reward structure is.
There is a power gap from Honor gear to Conquest gear, and that should be the ONLY power gap in PvP.
