9.1 is almost out

It literally goes all the way to the top. The higher-ups knew about this stuff. They joked about it. They punished people who complained.

This investigation has been going on for years and this is the culmination. Blizzard will probably force an out-of-court settlement but it doesn’t get much lower than this.

As I mentioned.

Surgical hedge clippers to cut out the rot.

it’s the entire tree.

We’re sticking with hedge clippers because it’ll be more painful for the one on the receiving end, hence why I said hedge clippers over another tool.

yeah after reading the article in full this is actually awful

hurgh

There are genuinely no excuses for what is described in that article. Even if, by some insane miracle of circumstance, someone in a position of authority at Blizzard was completely ignorant of what was going on, they still need to be fired for gross incompetence.

Yeah… it went from funny to criticize and make fun of Blizzard to actual genuine hatred.

I’m suddenly very glad I canceled my sub. I fear I’d be sickened with myself if I continued to support this… absolute stain on the human experience.

Turns out that companies aren’t our allies. Riot Games proved it, Ubisoft proved it, Blizzard’s proved it.

I’m not all that surprised. I’m still shocked and appalled.

Edit: Like. It’s not even the funny kind of “shocked and appalled” where you mockingly go “oh no! anyways” it’s like. Genuinely upsetting news. It’s hard to believe that a company that makes a stupid product about colorful fantasy people punching each other can cause such a severe and evil situation happen.

I am sorry for any abuse survivors. Hearing this stuff must not be easy.

The suit also points to a female Activision employee who took her own life while on a company trip with her male supervisor. The employee had been subjected to intense sexual harassment prior to her death, including having nude photos passed around at a company holiday party, the complaint says.

Jesus effing christ. There are no adequate words to express how disgusted I am with this company. This is unforgivable.

blizzard shills are mass reporting people who say anything about the situation to get them flagged and hidden.

Well folks, it’s been fun I suppose.

MMOs just aren’t my bag any more so I’m probably not going to keep trying to fit my square peg into that round hole, and stick to strictly offline experiences. If you’re ever out and about in the lands of Tamriel (The single player options), just imagine there’s some High Elf named Silaar roaming around, probably walking into a wall somewhere.

But yeah, in lieu of these accusations and everything else, may be time to just pull back from participating with this company even if only on their forums.

Watching very intently now. I want the injunction to do it’s job and for Blizzard to be forced to pay double of every penny they’re supposed to pay and for a lot of wretches to see an unemployment line that leaves then unhirable.

Reprehensible people still supporting reprehensible actions seems to be the new normal. I mean just look at a certain ex"leader" and his cult.

Speaking of…didn’t Blizz just hire someone from said cult? Yeah…it’s not going to get any better for a very very long while if ever.

yeah this isn’t the sort of thing that just gets better. there’s no pruning branches or cutting out the cancer.

the only solution is to burn it all down.

The bigger issue is that problems like this aren’t solved until you target the problem (the people involved) and put them in a cell. Nothing short of prison time for the people responsible and those who covered it up can be accepted.

Not doing so just allows them to slink into a new hole to pollute

presented without comment. just read what a spokesperson put out.

Hoping Jason Schreier is among the first locked up.

jason schreier is a journalist.

my bad. I read it that he was the Blizzard spokesperson. That is entirely my bad there I apologize.
