9.1 is almost out

Currently, it’s honestly more likely 9.2 will be the one with a skeleton crew working on it with most focus going into next expansion given how much of a train wreck the attempt to start the cosmic chart has gone.

I expect more than SW and Orgrimmar housing next expansion, Blizzard. Yall shot yourself in the foot so hard it better be that or high elves and ogres.

Legion levels of hard sell:

REAL player housing, opening race/class combos, high elves, ogres, and a new writing team.

I’m with Vanndrel. I would play the hell out of this, but literal LOL at the idea that Blizzard would allow for a discovery process. They’d force mediation at all costs to avoid it.

Mechanically, the raid is very fun for the first half. But that’s always been what Blizzard does right for me. They’re still dwelling too much in a two-tone palette but at least they’ve chosen a slightly brighter one this time for some rooms.

Even as someone who wanted High Elves I don’t quite see the point anymore.

I’d rather certain Allied Races got lumped into their parent races under a single name. Dark Irons and Ironforge Dwarves are just Dwarves, and you can pick your, “subrace,” while creating a dwarf. Same thing with Gnomes and Mechagnomes, Orcs and Mag’har Orcs, etc…

Racials should be a pool players can pick and choose from when creating their character. There’s no reason a Blood Elf couldn’t have preternatural calm, for example, and, ‘Ethereal Connection,’ just amounts to business deals which Blood Elves have had in the past. It’d even help some ARs with lackluster racials get the option to pick better racials from their parent race, and vice versa for parent races with terrible racials.

Y’all made me have a horrible realization that she’s probably going to escape/be broken out of Oribos before we can finally have her answer our questions about why literally anything is happening.

ACTUAL COPYPASTE VERBATIM FROM THE IN GAME RAID GUIDE

Edit: even the direct names of the first
Two phases are directly ripped from her quotes

Stage One: A Cycle of Hatred

“We have forgotten what makes us strong.”

Players battle against Sylvanas atop Torghast while the Jailer remains elusive.

Intermission: A Monument to our Suffering

“You are unfit to wear this crown”

Upon reaching 80% health, Sylvanas chains all players with Domination Chains, then casts Rive, destroying the tower itself.

Stage Two: The Banshee Queen

“What are we if not slaves to this torment?”

Sylvanas enters Banshee Form, taking to the skies to waylay players’ pursuit of the Jailer as he ascends. Thrall and Jaina lend their aid by casting Call Earth and Channel Ice, respectively, but must be kept free from interruptions while doing so.

Stage Three: The Freedom of Choice

“Nothing can stop what is to come.”

Sylvanas follows the players’ traversal, greeting them for the final showdown between Death and inevitability in the Jailer’s master plan.

I blame every Sylvanas fan ever for this.

Are there still some left? I disliked the Garry arc but the true zug horde guys were really into it. But I don’t even know who the Sylvanas arc is for.

Oh there are certainly Sylvanas fans out there.

There is some absolute craziness going on regarding where they are going with this.

I shouldn’t even speak this into the universe but someone over on another forum already did, so it’s not my idea. The Jailer gives her back what we all believe to be a piece of her soul (her eyes turn back to blue, but not Jailer-blue) and the last thing she says before she collapses is, “Cannot…let him…reach the…”

Is she about to say Sepulcher or…Sunwell?

Someone else suggests she’s about to say “Sunwell” because that’s where Arthas was heading back when he turned her into a Banshee.

Has The Jailer wiped her hard drive? Has she lost all memory of what happened from the moment Arthas turned her until now?

Will Blizzard really give us the most spectacularly worst possible plot device?

AMNESIA?

I almost want this to happen just for the guttural laughs and stupidity.

Can’t be Sunwell. Means Blizzard would have to work on Quel’thalas again instead of smearing brown and… [spins color wheel] …brown into a new zone.

I haven’t paid attention to Blizzard since BfA excluding the constant - and deserved - bashing, but holy I didn’t think they would be dumb enough to actually consider a redemption arc, let alone go through with it. The only thing more embarrassing than Blizzard’s judgement are the Sylvanastans eating it up over on the story forum.

I don’t even understand this part because if they are going the “I wasn’t in control” aspect either because of her undeath or potential amnesia then the character they’ve been fawning over since The Frozen Throne can be construed as dead anyway or perhaps never even existed.

Oh I can just see it now.

Thrall: “I should strike you down right now, Sylvanas.”
Sylvanas: “You wouldn’t be the first green-skinned abomination I’ve had to put down, and you won’t be the last, filthy Orc.”
Thrall: “You betrayed the Horde!”
Sylvanas: “Betrayed? How could I betray the Horde? I’d sooner die a thousand times before allying myself with monsters such as your kind or trolls!”
Jaina: “Sylvanas, you were the Warchief of the Horde!”
Sylvanas: “I know not why you’re lying to me, Proudmoore, but I would never ally myself with the beasts whom slaughtered my kith and kin! I will NEVER forgive these pigs for taking my family from me!”
Jaina: “Sylvanas, you were the Warchief of the Horde! You even brought Quel’Thalas into the Horde!”
Sylvanas: “What madness is this? No self-respecting High Elf would ever ally themselves with filth like this that stands besides you. I can’t see how you can even stand the stench of being in the same room as it. Utter madness to think the children of the High Kingdom would ever work alongside these monstrosities.”

I can just see the salt flowing now, like a mighty river.

This is 100% what’s going to happen.

The Banshee Queen is dead!
Long Live Ranger General Windrunner!

EDIT: Oh God…she’s going Blue side. That’s how Blizzard’s going to address the faction imbalance. They’re going to throw the most popular (why I have no idea but here we are) character to the other side.

9.2 Featuring Tyrande and Sylvanas going after the jailer buddy-cop style.

One’s the embodiment of an immortal goddess’ wrath. The other the former psychopath that committed genocide. Together, they might just be the only hope this reality has to keep on going. From the makers of, ‘Illidan-Did-Nothing-Wrong,’ and, ‘Draenor-is-Free,’ comes the next major installment in the critically acclaimed Warcraft series! ‘I-Will-Not-Serve.’ Coming July 2022.
