I mean that’s basically the subtitle of all of Battle for Azeroth, isn’t it?
“This happened because Sylvanas needs the spotlight.”

It just baffles me.
I was actually enamored and invested in Zelling’s story, and made me have a small sliver of enjoyment in an otherwise terrible War Campaign story.
Will he get to meet his family again? How is he adapting? He’s working with the Horde, but he’s clearly doing it because they know who his family is, but Lillian promised to take care of his family from the shadows… is she keeping her promise?
Will I get to see more of hi- oh, they shot him in a cutscene to show how brutal sylvanas is while giving Baine a stern talking to.
Alright, back to Alliance.
Clearly it’s the curse of characters named Thomas. Thomas Zwelling, Thomas Thomson (aka the Headless Horseman). Being named Thomas is very dangerous in Warcraft.
…What?
Maybe I should find a way to get into Blizzard, become the Game Director, Story Manager, and uuhh sifts through notes …just all of Blizzard, really. And then I’ll make my own expansion for WoW and it will be awesome!
With cool transmogs of all kinds, Nightborne outfits and Sentinel outfits will become moggable, more adventure and for once none of this end of the world craziness!
And of course, there’ll be like 500% more dinosaurs.
Part of me is just waiting for them to go “Oh wait, we’re neutral, lets balance it out.” and let Yrel and the problematic Naaru through on only that justification to kick off an expansion.
Whenever Sylvanas isn’t on-screen, all the other characters should be standing around asking, “where’s Sylvanas???”
WoD wouldve been a lot more interesting if it was the infinite flight all along
im still surprise that WoD wasn’t the expansion to start the game over.
We go back to try and stop the time shenanigans only for a fel orc invasion to still happen anyway and then the next few expansions would just be Warcraft 1, Warcraft 2 and so on. Especially since that was when the movie came out so we could then go hang out with those people we saw in the movie or something y’know.
I actually been leveling most of my alts through WoD and I think I’m just disappointed at so many failed opportunities. Could have seen Shattrath at it’s height, an actual threatening Ogre empire, the spore mound in Farahlon and so much. It’s also just visually a great expansion to explore and wander around in.
Soon enough, everyone just becomes Nathanos.
I still think Nathanos should have walked away from Sylvanas and stuck with the Horde, where he becomes leader of the Forsaken whose power is kept in check by the Desolate Council. Have someone as a leader who understands what it is to be Forsaken and fills that “morally gray” niche while having a group of more forward thinking Forsaken kind of keep him accountable to prevent a Sylvanas 2.0.
I remember his hesitation during Sylvanas’ Warbringers cinematic and reading that as him starting to doubt her.
… then, well, everything else happened and that nuance was never elaborated upon because Blizzard thought we needed another dose of Orc Man Pain™.
between nathans regret at sylvia killing his little cousin for him and his obvious look of doubt during the warbringers cinematic it was pretty clear that nathan was supposed to eventually turn against sylvia as she became ever more monstrous
but then a need for dead blue feet ensured that horny steve kept him at her side all the way through
Sass -> Strength -> Snark -> Smoke
Sylv’s 4 stances.
watching this gives me the same feeling, mentally, as when you’re suffocating and gasping for breath.
WHY TRY TO CHOKE AN UNDEAD DOES SYLVANAS EVEN BREATHE
Its like an edgy 11 year old is writing this.
maybe she was trying to pop her head off like a cork.
Well.
I’m not going to post it here because I’d probably get a ban, so let’s just play Madlibs again:
Page 1:
“Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a _____ ?”
“…You didn’t know?”
the ending of this cinematic was predictable. sylvia needed to survive so she could be the raid boss. but it featured tyrande beating her as right up until meta reasons demanded sylvia be able to get away.
the fight was gorgeous. and im glad tyrande isnt dead.
So Sylvanas is just John Cena now. Okay.
