Are the factions still hoarding Azerite or did the end of BfA cause all of Azeroth’s glowy poop rocks to go back underground? What happened to what was already mined in Sillythus?
For that matter, anyone else notice there’s still a giant sword sticking out of our planet?
It’s being stored on the Vindicaar, of course.
Seriously, why does the Jailer want Azeroth so bad? It’s got a big knife sticking out of it.
My hope is for the rest of the heritage armors that haven’t come out yet, particularly Darkspear trolls.
I also hope that we’ll get a look into how things are going back on Azeroth with the whole machine of death being broken. What’s the Scourge doing, how are the normal citizens of Azeroth handling it, that kind of thing.
My expectation, of course, is that none of this will be addressed. I generally just roll with the punches when it comes to this game.
honestly i have no hopes for the story to get better because i do not trust these writers in the slightest.
so my hope is that they address the gear throttling and how unrewarding dungeoning feels right now. also maybe buff tanks a bit so the tank shortage ends.
my big dream is that after another expansion of the horde outnumbering alliance in endgame content 4-1, we get some faction restrictions loosening up as well, but i feel like blizzard is content to let us suffer :/.
I think the tank shortage is something that’s been going on for a long, long time. I truly believe that it’ll take a drastic move to fix it beyond a buff.
Maybe a new tank spec for certain classes or change how tanking works, specifically in regards to DPS output and rotations.
Fair enough. I definitely think adding an additional tank/healing spec to some of the Pure DPS classes might help, that way no one is locked into pure dps by virtue of the classes.
Of course a huge feedback loop i get from prospective tanks that community moderation does help. If I had a nickel for every time someone in XIV said that they could never tank in WoW again because XIV actually moderates their community…
But honestly I would just like to feel as powerful on a tank as I did in Legion, personally. That would make me very happy.
I suppose I can see that, since the big PvP stat of Vers is more impactful in how you live in PvP and not necessarily damage wise (unless you’re a class that thrives off Vers in PvE).
But I’ve felt more obligated to PvP for gear than PvE for gear. The double-PvP vers trinket bonus alone makes grinding that out more important than grinding PvE. Matter of fact, I’ve been swapping heroic raid gear out for 207 PvP gear because even Combatant gear so much better for PvP than PvE gear (minus pieces like the ring from ToP that has 147 vers on it). I’ve never felt obligated to push PvE to do PvP, and the majority of my guild that has hit HWL/Glad this season have done so with PvP gear only, no PvE pieces that I am aware of.
Anyway, let me wrap this up with “I see where you might be coming from, but I’m going to respectfully disagree based on my experiences while keeping in mind YMMV”.
EDIT: minor grammatical issues
Sylvanas becoming the Jailer or the new Lich Queen would actually be a win for feminism so jot that down.
I can confirm. I played a tank in FFXIV and all I got was support and patience being a newbie. I’m afraid of tanking in WoW.
This me. Yeah.
i’ve done it a decent amount in legion and wod and can say that people are awful, but it’s not that hard.
it’s mostly dealing with idiots that makes tanking really obnoxious and i do not blame anyone for not wanting to put up with it.
there should be more cool shield mogs to encourage people to tank. more huge shields bulwark of azzinoth can only take us so far
also ignore pain should be 90% again imho
and bring back that talent where revenge stunned that was cool
also bring back concussion blow, just make us OP please
This. So much of this. At least for Warrior tanks. I can understand it being 50% for fury and arms, but Prot should have it buffed.
can i get spell damage reduction back on my paladin pls
also real mobility
edit: i also play blood dk and i think blood dk should just get damage buffs, otherwise like everything blood dk does is fine.

It’ll take this community not being a random dungeon full of jack holes, which sadly is a lot more than a tank buff and way more than Blizzard wants to deal with.
I love playing tanks. The ‘sword and board’ old school vibe of it has always been my greatest love.
Alas, I roll another tank and hit the random queue. I immediately remember why I have 8 other tanks that I don’t play.
Blood DK needs a glyph that hides the spinning bone. I need my Blood tank oneless
