And I am. But I’m kicking and screaming on my way out. Deal with it.
This game has gone to the dogs in my opinion.

yes it is?
Learn to play with others. Alrighty then. You must be one of the lucky ones who
has a :
guild that does things together
One that works with you and is patient with you if you’re not up to par.
One that actually takes you on a raid or at least tries to get everyone geared up and a chance to raid on a raid team.
Guilds that have their raid teams and they work well together and don’t like to
switch anyone else in. This is understandable.
I was in a guild that had their core groups…and the rest of us? We were the farmers. They ran us through dungeons just to get us geared to survive as we farmed.
Learn to play with other’s. Yea ok…
Because if not, you’re certainly not going to pug any good group. Not with
limitations and expectations that usually exceed what’s actually required.
Please don’t get me wrong. I do understand wanting to progress and getting the raid over with in certain amount of time, with minimal loss of time and gold, so the gear requirements are needed.
Amazes me that so many still don’t see that there are people who really have no choice but to play solo. For several reasons.
I like playing solo. But I also realize the need for group content. I do join groups.
But there are times when I want to take my time and not get things done in 5 mins.
So yea those who like to solo play sometimes in a MMO should be given that content as well. Just like LFR was introduced for those casual players who wanted to see end content.
Who are you to tell someone to learn to play with others. There’s plenty of reasons why some can’t. Maybe they like the solo play but also need people around them? Hell I solo and still stop and help out both Alliance and Horde because even though I do solo play I still like to see people out and about.
Well they will be increasing the general item level for all content. But honestly, if you are truly a solo player an MMO might not be the best fit for you. By design, they are based around group content of some level.
Yeah, I saw they updated it finally, my bad.
You do realize this was to make up for last years Blizzcon and is being done online without people not being there because of this thing called covid-19 . You probably haven’t heard of it if you are complaining about the way this Blizzcon is .
Seriously. I’m sick of even hearing about item level. Give me compelling content. I don’t give a flying F* about item level, an arbitrary number.
I want the profession system they said they were giving me. Not… THIS crap show of a boring legendary-feeding design.
I want Torghast to have a reward structure. Not just be some side content.
I want to feel like I’m making choices in the game that go somewhere. This is the worst RPG in an MMORPG currently on the market. Where’s the RPG in this thing?
Also, those of you spouting that “find a group” nonsense. No. I will not find groups for everything. I have a group for the group content I like. But where’s the rest of the game outside of that?
It feels like they’re only investing in group content. And for a game that’s only investing in group content, we’re sure not getting much of it. One dungeon, one raid.
GL for the folks that are still into this stuff. This is the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.
I’ve been a beta tester every expac since MoP. I’ve been a PTR tester nearly every patch except this one. I’ve been an AOTC raider every tier since AOTC has been a thing. To me, a person who has been invested and has publicly defended their decisions since 2005 and on, I feel like there is no heart left in their design process.
Hopefully raiders, M+ runners and PVPers can keep carrying this game.
Holy missing the entire point Batman. He/She is not talking about the venue. He/She is talking about what was presented.
Did you expect much ?
If they didn’t have actual people attend the normal Blizzcons do you think they would have that much going on ? They would probably be short and to the point like this one.
So which is it? Do you want solo content or do you want compelling content? I only ask because this game has never had compelling solo content. There has always been a ceiling upon what solo players can achieve in the game.
It’s like people forget WoD’s first patch that added nothing but a jukebox and selfie toy. WoD had great raids, but nothing outside of that for a good long time so I’m interested to know how WoD solo content was “better,” as mentioned in the OP.
What types of solo things did previous patches bring that you would like to see learned from in Shadowlands?
You say that like its a bad thing.
They should try actually watching it, then.
Well why would it when this game is a Massive multiplayer game?
Crafting would be an example.
Crafting what?
Raid quality items that required you raid to get materials to craft them?
There are new Torghast options though, and players can solo Torghast.
A new zone, new collections, new transmog, new mounts, and more were announced. And that’s probably the beginning. Flying was also announced.
Let’s give them a little credit; at least they are removing eye of the jailer and adding mounts in the maw.
I’m sorry you’re feeling bummed. I have a feeling that this is only the beginning. The con itself was a disaster imo, but Blizzard might be able to pull it together.
And this comes from a casual, mostly solo individual.
I feel your pain elf sister.
For the solo player, WoW is on life support. Blizzard is catering to the Twitch Community.
