No point trying to gear through arena when everyone has 10-20k more HP in the 1400s, no point gearing through BGs because the gear is trash ilvl.

Why are you 80 ilvls behind?
You can gear up but holy hell it takes a long time. I’m on week 5 now on this toon(215ilvl) and outside of a few AH pieces I’ve gotten all my gear from PVP almost all of the conquest was from 2s.
I have no friends that pvp and it was absolutely ruthless just cruising LFG. On top of that the sheer volume of 220ilvl / gladiators from 1400 and up is astounding.
You can gear up this way but you will die trying.
Unless you’re Venthyr you can get 197 covenant gear with vers. Not that sub 200 is great but its way better than 140. Still a pain in the weeny to advance gear after that.
Then you need to get new friends lmao I started playing my priest literally last weekend and im already 190ilvl playing with friends in 2s, didnt even play much, i got like 70 arenas played.
If your friends value more their rating than helping you catch up to them so y’all can play together, im sorry to tell you but they’re not really good friends
Gotta tell your friends to carry you in 3s for 200 wins. Will take a few days but its the fastest way

I geared my alt by doing “warm body yolo rbgs” where we take any player who has a body temperature above room temperature and q. That is the only requirement.
We tanked to 1200mmr and won 3 or 4 games where our entire team was like 160 ilvl. Once we hit like 1500mmr the teams all had gear and we lost and reset the mmr. Just kept going back and forth until I caught up with my conquest cap.
